If Ameya ever updates UTAU, what new features would you want added?

Whats the difference between Utau synth and the actual UTAU program? :\

UTAU-Synth is made for Mac users.
PC UTAU doesn't run in Mac (unless using wine or emulator but won't work always 100%, ya know?) That's why it's great that Ameya has made Mac ver of UTAU!
3CyyyT6.png

Abilities/things what UTAU-Synth has but PC UTAU doesn't:

- Multitrack
- Auto CV/VCV for JP hiragana VBs (this is in PC UTAU's shareware but not in free ver)
- You can see envelopes which is pretty handy (again, I think that you can see them too in shareware)
- This is little off topic but anyway: This is just MY opinion but I think that interface is prettier in Synth than PC UTAU

What UTAU-Synth lacks but it is in PC UTAU:

- Ability to fix/edit FRQ files
- No different "resamples" or any kind of "plug-ins"

This are main differences what I can thing between Mac and PC UTAU. Of course there's more to add but here are main differences

Yea you're right
UTAU Synth has a more polished look than the PC UTAU has.
PC UTAU looks like something we'd see on a Windows xp (no offense)
it'd be great if they had each other's advantages

I kind of wish Synth was available for PC as well.
In terms of more features, I'd like to see a feature to have multiple vocals in one track (similar to VOCALOID, but on one track) so duets would be easier. I would also like to see basic features implemented into UTAU itself that are already plugins (such as a feature similar to autoCVVC, but just implemented into UTAU). I keep cluttering my plugins folder with so many features that should already be in UTAU.

THIS! Duets easier and "build-in auto CVVC". (I'm personally very fed up to edit all USTs for my CVVC VB manually every, single, time)*

*I'm using UTAU-Synth. There's NO any kind of plug-ins for Synth. (I KNOW that Auto CVVC plug in exits for PC UTAU but that isn't working in Synth)

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DELETE THE OTO LIMIT PLEASE IM DYING ALSO IF THE OTOING WAS MORE LIKE NIAONIAO THAT WOULD BE AWESOMELY
How you're "Otoing" in NiaoNiao (I know that it's Chinese free software where you're allowed to create own VBs but IDK how it's "oto" system works etc. Not very familiar with it...)??

Is it simplyer/faster??

A better wavtool, because the current wavtool does not give justice to VCVs.

Tbh, I would be just fine seeing UTAU Synth's interface ported to PC, with plugin support and any features it lacks from UTAU PC.

The best additions to the software would be.....

1.) being able to convert CV to VCV or VCV to CVVC, or CV to CVVC etc. without having to get a licence.
2.) An easier way to switch between resamplers. There is a way you can change your default resampler, but it would be easier if there was a drop menu with all "registered" resamplers and you could pick from there rather than having to manually find each one of them.
3.) Multitrack would make harmonies sooo much easier to make and test.
4.) A cleaner interface, it's a bit outdated.
5.) No oto limit, this limit makes English voicebanks REALLY hard to do and limits how they can be done.
6.) A way to set the consonant to the end of a sample, again, this would make many other languages a lot easier and cleaner.
7.) A feature similar to cross synth would be great too! A way to transition between different voicebanks for an UTAU without having to either make multiple renders, or merge the voicebanks.
8.) Being able to convert a romaji ust to hiragana without needing a plugin.

Basically with niaoniao otoing you could have actual english words with consonants at the end of a sample work properally, working almost like an english vocaloid.

That actually sounds pretty interesting... It's kinda sad that NiaoNiao is no longer updated tho

If UTAU was open source we'd probably have a lot of these features already, to be honest. If only coding a new singthesis shell was as easy as it sounds. Anyway, I'd also like to see many of the plugins that practically everyone uses (autoCVVC, Romaji to Hiragana, Lyric Diphonizer, etc.) integrated into the program. +1 on that no oto limit, by the way.

These are what I want in UTAU
More dynamic dynamics: I think this is in Shareware UTAU but, Envelopes for dynamics? Ughh
Better fqr fixing: I know I know, freqedit exists but, how about those guys with ultimately slow internet? (This doesn't make sense doe lel)
A FRICKING, BETTER, UI: Flat design. Add in animations too lel
MULTINOTES: EZ harmonies.
VSQx import: Easier stuff
Extend first note before the "-" thing in VOCALOID in import: Yea, I'm lazy af

Heck, I'd just be glad he made an update lol! And idk, I'd need to dabble more with the program.... Perhaps make things more equalized, if that makes sense(it prbly doesn't xD) oh, and having bgm available to play in the program would be helpful,

Don't know if this exists yet, but it'd also be cool to have two utau singing the same song. Like, say I have Meiji And Renri(so mainstream, ik xD) and want the two to both be available in one project in the Utau program, like of I were making a cover of World's End Dancehall and instead of making their singing parts in separate projects for the same song, it'd be cool if I could have both banks available, and to be able to select which voice sings what part and even allow them to overlap... Sorry if this sounds dumb/complicated/already possible lol

- I wish the PC Version would have an interface upgrade. I mean UTAU-Synth looks so polished unlike the PC Version. And maybe some animations??? idk
- Otoing the VC Samples. There needs to be a pink part in the end or something.
- Just extend the note instead of leaving the [-] things when importing VSQs.
- VSQx import. So that I don't have to use a separate program.

That's all :P

What I want:
UTAU PC update the interface to minalistic or easy as it can, it's make the beginner more easy to use.
UTAU have the wav shape like vocaloid, it's under the melody. It's make utau sound more realistic.
UTAU need to update the wavtool and resampler. They so basic but powerful with someone.
The resampler can auto play like vocaloid, doesn't need to render anymore.
Maybe more auto pitch bend ? It's make more easy without tuning.
Of course. The envelope in UTAU Syth, we need that on PC.
Auto convert: CV to VCV to CVVC to VCCV etc.
Auto romaji to hiragana. It's make more easy without using plugin. Some plugin maybe have wrong convert to hiragana.
The source should work fine with low-end computer. Some reason my computer can't use some plugin, some resampler and some wavtool.
Oh, and UTAU color too

Polished looks(PC)
Plugin(Mac) Most likely because of apple not wanting you to edit the apps and other shit.
The [...] to create smooth transitions between noted like [ta] that go up and for english.
An english oto setting for syllables ex. [he C4][Lo C3][...C4][ImC5][..]C3 sorta like that and no oto ini restrictions for english VCV which as thousands of lines and would look like this [L@][@st ka][az-][ R ]
