Things non-UTAU users say that annoy you?

They lack the knowledge of course but in the end, we humans are petty and would eventually get annoyed by some things even after understanding.

"They sound so smooth!" It's a properly configured VCV voicebank, they should sound smooth.

"Do you take requests?" It's a free software .-.

Quite a few of these responses are sounding like things that inexperienced UTAU people say. Which, may I remind, are still UTAU people.

I honestly can't think of anything to add in terms of what annoys me, though. Online, I generally hang out with other vocalsynthers, who are either UTAU people or understand UTAU to an extent. In real life, I've stopped mentioning vocalsynth as the first thing altogether.

not really annoying but ive had comments

people always look over my shoulder and think im graphing something or hacking (when the render window comes up)
my study hall teacher was quite perplexed by it he was like "wow so all that information goes into there and does that" and stared at it for awhile
most of my friends just think im a weeb tho

But only UTAU users ask for them though?
Most people I see asking me in my YouTube comments at least haven't uploaded any works.

I guess things non-regular UTAU users say. I don't speak about my UTAU hobby much, and I do it behind closed doors or with headphones at home so I can concentrate, so most people don't ask.

I had my dad did call it creepy once, but I was working with a Kikuo song, so it was, in fact, creepy.

"What's UTAU?"
"It's like Vocaloid, but free and people can make their own voicebanks."
"What's Vocaloid and Voicebanks?"
"...Uhh... Umm..."
*mentally self destructs before linking to the wiki and Rolling Girl"

(Not really annoying, but I honestly get kinda stuck at this point.)

Actual annoying lines:
"Aren't UTAU just rip off/poorman's/low quality Vocaloids?"
*glares*
"My favorite Vocaloid is Teto!"
*rolls eyes*
"This Vocaloid Ruko... she's a girl, right? Right?!"
*slowly shakes head... then nods... takes a breath*
"How do they get Miku to sound like this Maiko?! It's so gross and scary!"
*pouts, loves Maiko and respects the voice provider for sacrificing their vocal cords*
"Ah, I love Vocaloid and now I'm learning hiragana for UTAU-I'm one Hell of a weeb lolz! I mean desu! Rofl"
(I actually just don't like people calling themselves weebs. *shrugs*)
"OMGGGG! You mean I can make my own Vocaloid and make them marry -insert popular Vocaloid-?!?!? Fanfiction.net here I come!"
*Sternly repeats No No No No No No No No No*

That's all folks, I'm pretty mellow.

"How different is UTAU from Vocaloid?"

"Can I make my own? How do you do it?"

"Isn't that hard work?"

"Omg this is too difficult how did you even manage?!"

... this all came in a span of a month when I introduced it to a few of my orgmates (well at least now three of them have their own hahahaha)

My Japanese cousin who was 10 years old heard me to tuning UTAU and said "again those soulless zombi voices are singing"

My Finnish friend (who "voiced" Petit Yvette BTW) heard my UTAU (Aki's) Japanese CV tri pitch and mono pitch Finnish VCV that has tons of full CCV and VCC recordings for extra smoothness said "I think that Japanese voice sounds better and more natural" and I was like ?!?!?!? WHAAAATTT

And my mother when I made her (somehow) record Japanese CVVC like two years ago she complained while recording that "why do I need to record "ka" twice in kakikukekoka, isn't once enough?!?"

And when I finally oto her VB to be used (which was extra hard to oto) and played in a song she said "oh! How soulless, robotic and bad this sounds!" *cough* My mother recorded in that "beginner shy falsetto-like high pitch" voice. Did she really expected to sounds like an utaite in UTAU as beginner??? Like, she did not even listen me at all when I tried to explain how to extra "ts" or pronounce "si/zi", she did them just randomly and basically wanted to record as fast as possible.

I guess that in general all people who are not in Utau that calls UTAU to sound "soulless and robotic" are annoying. Of course it sounds cuz it's freaking vocal synthesis!
