Theory:
I suggest removing "Characteristics of Keys" because it is fallacy, see this discussion https://www.reddit.com/r/musictheor...question_why_do_major_chordsscaleskeys_sound/

* SNIP - you had these already *

My recommendation for a beginner wanting to make music and write original songs is to start, and keep going. Progress is steady and only gets slower as you get better. Anyone who can mentally prepare for such a thing can eventually get the hang of this.

Thanks for the recommendations! And ah, Dexed is so much prettier to look at than Hexter...

Added Ohm Studio. Interesting DAW, not the best to work with (since I've used others) but has its merits. VST support and easier collaboration. Downside is total limit of working on 10 projects (across the board, regardless of who created it) before having to get a subscription.

Avalia-Kasa

FMOD Studio is actually free for noncommercial use. I have to use it for my game composition class in college, so I'm thinking it's pretty good. There's also a FMOD Studio Certificate for an AA at my college.

From what I see of testing it so far, it's more of a tool for designing soundscapes within a game context than for composing music in the first place. I don't think I'll be adding it to this resource, sorry.

Added various things from my TS_B notes (more guitar-oriented)
Combine the multisampled electric guitar with Voxengo Boogex and a great cab IR, and you'll have a fantastic-sounding guitar. (Of course, I don't have that much experience in rock and such, but it's a million times better than using a terrible free VST and generic distortion.)

The free version of Tracktion has upgraded from T4 to T5!
I'm downloading it now to test it out.

Kiyoteru updated Songwriting Resources with a new update entry:

Added Virtual Playing Orchestra

Upon suggestion from Expus on Twitter, I've added Virtual Playing Orchestra! It is an sfz format sample library (compatible with Plogue Sforzando) using high quality orchestral samples, including those from Philharmonia Orchestria (which I had added previously)

While I have no personal experience using it, take it from him:

"VERY important and necessary to anyone who needs free orchestra samples."
"i CANNOT emphasize how important virtual playing orchestra has been to me the past while...
