"Deserves to be Ignored"?

Ever since the birth of the other XOTA units, it's as if Q.P. kind of no longer exists anymore. Since he's my main UTAU, it really makes me sad that he's not getting enough attention and appreciation compared to the other units. I wish there's something I could do to help him, but as how many folks would always tell me, "What else is there to do?"

Worst of all, somebody already said that Q.P. "deserves to be ignored". What bothers me even more is that they never said why. So I'm sort of on a bit of a "life-threatening" situation about what to do with Q.P. specifically for the future. And no, abandoning or replacing him is not an option!

If you like your UTAU and enjoy using them then I wouldn't care what others think. Honestly, I would just ignore silly people who say things like that. Comments like that are rude and uncalled for.

As for wanting them to get more attention just make more covers with them. Using them often will make others recognize them more.

Rude and uncalled for comments are all that Q.P. get, whether directed towards him as an UTAU or a character in general, but you're right. Nuts to the nonbelievers and haters!

It's kind of ironic that you mentioned that. I've been working on covers from the other units too much for the past few weeks that I didn't have time for my main, so if anybody really is to blame, then it's me. I didn't mean to ignore him, of course. It's just that I'm always juggling between my UTAU lifestyle and deviantART lifestyle, but I really should spend more time with Q.P. since I poured so much work into him and it'll be a major disappointment to leave him in the shadows where the haters want him to be.

I would stop worrying about what others think. Make covers for yourself, UTAU is meant to be fun and constantly doing things to try to please others isn't fun. Just have fun and don't take to heart what others say. It's your UTAU and your opinion should be the one that matters the most ^-^

Indeed. After all, that was why Q.P. turned out so well from the start; he was made out of sheer love and I can't believe I almost forgot about that. Thanks!

Perhaps you could adopt these opinions on QP and make it part of his story. He could be someone with a cool talent/skill/whatnot but gets rejected by all his peers in story, which would tie into real life in a neat way.
Interesting idea. I've been considering that, but I haven't found time to make a story since years ago. Also, Q.P.'s own personality is manifested by all the salt and scorn thrown at him, which is why he's pessimistic despite how he looks. But that is an interesting idea, to make an actual story for him.

I like your UTAU. My utau is ignored but i just don't care.
It's because my UTAU "does not meet the traditional male standards" is why people complained about him. In other words, he's a boy but people disregard him because he doesn't look nor sound like manly or mannish. So what, I'd like to ask them? My UTAU does not live to be catered and him being ignored just adds more to why I shouldn't care about what other people think.

Perhaps users just come across your Utau looking for a masculine voice, get an unpleasant surprise when they hear he has a childish/girly voice (haven't heard him so idk), and move on to something closer to their needs.

Maybe, but of course the purpose of my UTAU was not to cater to anyone anyway. Besides, a mannish voice wouldn't really fit his design and concept anyway.

Some people just have their own interests when it comes to utau. However, comments like that are very rude and intolerable, so I'd ignore them. As far as popularity goes, if you're interested in boosting Q.P.'s, perhaps you could do more art, make more covers, etc. But your utau is yours, and why try to spend all your time pleasing others when that's not the initial reason you created Q.P.? So long as you care about your utau, keep making covers because it makes you happy, don't waste too much time on what haters or other mean people think, just do you ^^

Yeah, plus some people just have their preferences, if it's a voice or design they don't like, not necessarily hate, they'll skip over it. Some people are just picky ;^^

Yeah. I really should start caring less about what other people think and care more about what's best for my UTAU, not just appreciation but well-being as well.
