Hello!
My name is Elin!
Im 20 years old.
Im from Sweden, so english is not my native language.
Im a new UTAU user so I need your opinions of my new UTAU.
I just have the concept art of my UTAU Torine (Torine is her last name) but not the voice yet.
I plan to make trilingual voicebanks: Japanese, English and Swedish.
Oh! and one more thing, how do you make your UTAU not sound too robotic?
(Noob here...)

Hi, welcome to utaforum! Cute UTAU!

As for not making your UTAU sound robotic, it really depends on the recording method used and the quality of the OTO. However, CV Japanese is simple to start with, so as robotic as it may be I recommend learning how to record and OTO that before diving too deep!

Like Partial said, start with the OTOs. There are some great tutorials out there, and it's pretty easy to get the hang of! You'd be surprised how big a difference they can make. OTOs are magical~

Hi~! Welcome to UtaForum~! :D

Actually, there are three(?) ways that I know about how to make an UTAU sound less robotic:
  1. OTO a CV bank really well (and that, of course, is learned over time ^-^)
  2. A different voicebank format (a VCV for Japanese makes it much less robotic. for English, uhm, there are ways to make it more understandable ^-^)
  3. Different resamplers (some resamplers make the UTAU much more robotic than others as far as I know  )
I'm still not very knowledgable of UTAU, but this is what I know and I hope it helps ^-^
