St. Defoko's School of UTAU

Utaism, the True UTAU Church, has gathered the funds to open up a school.
And not just any school.
It's grand and glittering, with all the newest technology, all the best facilities, and all the best teachers. (As well as a somewhat mediocre math teacher from Japan, but that's a story for another time.)
It teaches students of all ages, from preschool, all the way to adults who want to continue pursuing music. Most, if not all of them, are an UTAU.
It's a private boarding school, kept safe and secure by Saint Defoko herself.

It's also an artificial structure in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

(( There's no signup form for this roleplay, you can join with your UTAU at any time! You can arrive by helicopter, boat, submarine, parachute, whatever. The basic setting is a school, with whatever school system you like (American, Japanese, etc). Anything could happen! ))
(( If you're interested in that "mediocre math teacher," you can hear his side of things on his twitter account. ))

Lalita Laakonen is a high school precalculus teacher who was just hired to teach at this school, but she soon discovered how much she enjoyed helping students new to being an UTAU learn how to sing. It was a sunny afternoon. She took the opportunity to work on grading papers outdoors, but then there was a disturbance...

Being the picky dragon he was, Type decided not to travel to school like the other children. As had happened in the past, he was worried the students would make fun of his lack of ability to fly well. Of course.....he didn't know if any of the students at this school were able to, but his deep-driven fear told him to travel alone anyway. He declined all methods of conventional travel, choosing to walk to school, which was roughly an hour and a half from one of his favorite reading spots. Bound in a coat and a boot in his hand, Type sighed softly to himself, biting his lip with a slight nervousness. His desire to learn how to sing decently motivated him more than his fear held him back.

(Type is 22, maybe a little old for school, but-)

A school for vocalist robots? Being the shrewd bioengineer he was, Albert was not about to let this opportunity pass. He was a patient man, and his research could wait.

He had never thought of himself becoming a teacher before, as the majority of the time when he was staring down a child, they were soon screaming or crying. But he could pretend. He had software specifically designed to his mechanical enhancements, but he didn’t think that that would be necessary here. The more robotic he looked, the better.

He didn’t have to pack much, hardly more than a briefcase and a duffel bag that held his research and some spare formal clothing. It was a school after all. After buying a small watercraft, he head out to the island as notified on the map he had brought.

Briefly, as his newly polished boots touched the ground, he wondered if he should have learned what he was to be teaching.

(That’s my subtle way of asking what they teach there ^-^)

Ms. Laakonen looked up from her work, squinting to see through the bright sun. There were two arrivals. Though students came all the time, she had heard that there was to be a new teacher in the STEM department. It always made her happy to see growth in this area, mostly for the students, but also in having like-minded colleagues.
"Which one of you is the new teacher?" Lalita called out. It was sometimes confusing to navigate the school, so she figured it'd be a good idea to help.

When she heard that there was a school available for her kind, Inokuma Nazo, who preferred to go by her nickname Enigma, was overjoyed! She wasted no time applying and packing her bags, determined to make the most of whatever this place might hold.

She watched as her luggage was taken to the dorm for her, then stared up at the school gates.

"This is gonna be great...!"

After her moment of being an anime-protagonist, she decided to go look for a teacher. Any teacher! She just wanted to ask for help getting around the school. She had her schedule, but becoming familiar with the superiors never hurt!

Albert firmly decided, at that moment, to ignore the students arriving. They were of no worth to him outside of the classroom he assumed he would soon inhabit.

So he turned to the woman who had called out to him with an extended hand. “Doctor Albert Fleischer.” He greeted, wondering briefly if he should have corrected his strong accent before deciding it was good enough that he was speaking their language.

(P.S, don’t take things I write here personally, Albert is a mean person, just writing in character.)

Reicheru levitated aimlessly across the skies, while playing upon her new Nintendo Switch. The young psychic could only imagine what kind of wi-fi her school could inhibit, and immediately thought of potential Super Smash tournaments she could host. Floating next to her was her large black duffel bag which mainly consisted of video games and consoles along with her trusty laptop-- and a couple of clothes. She remembered when she first received her acceptance letter to attend. It was a rainy and cold morning, and she was finishing up her rounds on Call of Duty with an online friend. Reicheru had the letter on one hand, controller on the other.

"So...I did the app. Seems they've accepted me." Reicheru spoke first, her tone was monotonous and uninterested.

"Woah! Seriously?! Congrats, my dude!" Her friend replied through the headphones.

"Thanks, but I still ain't sure. Pretty sure they checked my records, though. Mathematics ain't all that well on me. They suspended me like four times 'cuz I tried to read the teacher's mind during tests. "

"How about Science? You were really good at science!"

"I guess...but I'm pretty sure they've accepted me 'cuz I'm an UTAU..."

"So your singing may be it! How's your singing?"

"Eh..."

A long pause in the room lasted only a few minutes before her friend replied.

"Look, I have to go to school, but I want to tell you that I know you can do it. You are real smart and I know you can roast 'em like you do online. Go kick some butt, Rei."

Reicheru chuckled. "Thanks... See ya later." She replied, before shutting off her console. She looked once again at her letter, a small smile appearing on her face. "Maybe it'll be different."

Reicheru blinked back to reality as she found herself nearing closer and closer toward the island. Upon closer inspection the school was way more regal than she initially thought. "It ain't no Hyrule Castle, but it'll do." She whispered to herself as she placed her Nintendo Switch back into her bag. Upon landing, she looked up in awe at the magnificent structure. The breeze was crisp with sea-salt, and the skies were bright and clear. A thought suddenly rushed through her head.

"Maybe it'll be different."

Reicheru picked up her duffel bag and threw it over her shoulder as she made her way closer toward the building.

"Nah. I doubt it."

(Hope you don't mind I join in!! Seems fun!)

Ms. Laakonen, being far too busy nowadays, tried to contact the administration about having someone else greet her portion of the new arrivals. All of the counsellors were already quite saddled, so they turned to various department heads. At that time, Hiyama Kiyoteru heard of the situation, and decided to handle them in her stead. Now that Sankanbi was over, he had a lot of free time to do other things.

In walked Enigma and Reicheru, to whom Mr. Hiyama accidentally said「いらっしゃいませ」but swiftly corrected himself with a "Welcome!" (He threw in a "Bonvenon!" for good measure.) "So, we have Inokuma Nazo, and Reicheru Nintone," he read aloud from a document on his tablet. The smaller of the two he assumed was the 12 year old. "I'm a middle school teacher. You could turn out to be one of my students!" He chuckled. "Let's go inside."

"Oh, man that'd be awesome!!" Reicheru replied, a small fist pump as she followed her potential new teacher.

Hello,

With great disappointment I send this e-mail to the headmaster of this school.

The summer season is to be enjoyed by school students. However, some of yours are apparently enjoying it in a way not all would.

I recently have seen students of Saint Defoko's school of UTAU vandalise a few government facilities in my neighbourhood. I recognised their school of origin due to the obvious display of the school's emblem on each of their shirts.

I also have heard that another group of students of this school, too, have attempted to rob a McPoteto store a week ago, also performing the stunt while displaying the school's emblem but on their face-covering masks. They, however, were caught red-handed by the police.

In a paraphrased manner, I found out that local police investigations concluded that this was a rebellious way to degrade your school's famous depiction as a prestigious school in the middle of the sea with high standards.

As a member of the Church, I am glad that my money has been put in good hands to make a school in accordance with Utaism. However, these rebellious youths are trying to put not only your school, but also our religion in a negative light. People of my community are starting to avoid me due to them thinking that I support abuse against non-Utaists.

I sincerely hope that these students are taken necessary action against, whether it be by counseling, by expelling them from Saint Defoko's School of UTAU or any action commensurate with what they did.

Aaiauea.

Regards,
Aoi,

ps. lmao which utau would like to be my local teenage delinquent

AL!X was super excited to start this school. But she was hesitant to sing as she cannot say some words. Her friend OLL!E came up to her "It'll be ok. Just speak to the head of music - who is the head of music again?"
"It's MR.Ritsu."...
