Hi~ I'm Kotori Tori

Hello, I'm Torii! I've been a fan of UTAUs and the community for a long time, but I've been really shy about interacting and making music with UTAU. I am new to the UTAU software and the process of creating covers, so I apologize for my noobish mistakes. I'm doing my best to learn as I go. My favorite UTAUloids are Ruko Yokune (Whisper and Kami) and Azune Hana, though I do with to create my own UTAUloids one of these days.

Other than UTAU, I enjoy reading, writing, and playing video games (JRPGS and Platformers mainly). That's pretty much it for about me. I hope we can get along~

Oh and I have a question for covers (I couldn't find a thread for this so I am asking here if anyone can help me. Again, I am so sorry, I am completely new to this). I'm trying to find a way to get an MP3 for a song I am covering, but I'm not sure how to get one safely. Does anyone recommend me a safe way to get an Mp3 off vocal? It's a song I haven't seen anyone cover yet from my knowledge (LOVE LOVE LOVE Dreams Come True).

Hello and welcome to UTAForum!

You can DL off vocal safely if the producer gives a free download link to their off vocal in their original song's description - or you have a chance to buy it (yes, sometimes you have to buy off vocal ver tho it's uncommon in Vocutau community but if yes then it's usually in very affordable price).

Not all but many Vocaloid and UTAU original song producers gives free off vocal to their songs. Please remember to credit the original artist every time when you cover something. "This song is by Hatsune Miku" is NOT proper way to credit: Miku is an instrument, not a person. Only humans can make songs but not programs or instruments.

Ps. Please, credit also the maker of UST/VSQ/MIDI as well too and do NOT distribute it unless you got a permission from original UST/VSQ/MIDI or you self-made all from scratch.

Welcome to UTAforum! I'd be glad to support you with answering any questions if you start working on your own voicebanks!
Thank you so much! I am planning to create some voice banks sometime soon actually. I'm trying to learn the process of creating a voice bank before I create an official one. The only thing I don't understand is the otoing process of a CV and VCV bank (even with youtube tutorials and looking at the otoing of other voice banks).

I've written a CV oto guide for the Resources section and am currently working on a VCV one.

You'll definitely also want to check out other things in the Resources section, or read old threads in the Help and Advice board!
http://utaforum.net/boards/help-and-advice.34/

And if you're in the chat at the right time, you'll meet lots of helpful and friendly people who might be able to give advice when you need it. I hope you like what this forum has to offer!
