This is what happened, I was editing the oto and after saving my oto turned into gibberish. Just that, the oto is in UTF-8

Ah, I remember this error... I'm not sure how I fixed it.

Is the oto itself in UTF-8 or is it just what you're using for it to be loaded in UTAU? It looks like it really is corrupted there. Is the same symbols showing up when you open the oto through a text editor? Have you tried opening it in a text editor like Notepad++ and try changing the encoding to SHIFT-JIS and see if the corruption is still there? OS details would be nice as well.

The oto is itself in UTF-8. The names don't show up when I open it in a text editor, and my specs are

Can you send your oto over so I can see if it's just an issue with your system?

Okay, it opens in Notepad++ fine so there isn't a problem with the encoding. I believe that oto files need to have this line if they're encoded in UTF-8 in order for UTAU to know what type of encoding to use (even though, the option is there in voicebank settings). So, add the line below to the top of the file and see if it works.
#Charset:UTF-8

THAT WORKED AS A CHARM, but I don't know, why because I already encoded it as UTF-8 I had to put that line?

Yes, Windows UTAU has that issue because it would try to read it as SHIFT-JIS even though it is not encoded in it. That line tells UTAU to read it as UTF-8.
Thank you very much!

So it was fixed and now it isn't? Have you been editing the oto parameters since it was fixed, or is it screwing up without you doing anything to it?

The last time, I didn't even touch the oto. But, actually I deleted it, changed the folder properties to open to all, and made my oto from scratch.
