VCV oto.ini generator

I'm finally releasing a new version of the VCV oto.ini generator. I deeply apologize for taking so long to make it. I had to learn a bit more of programming to be able to really improve it, and even make a better user interface.

It can be downloaded at this link VCVOtoGen.zip - Google Drive

Please, check the "readme.txt" file included with it. It contains precious information about using this generator.

If you have any trouble using it, or any comments, please reply to this thread.

This occured when you tried to open the generator? This is odd, because I don't see any point on the code that could launch such a generic exception. I'll try to make some alterations here, and later I'll return with something.

Please, try this version. If any known error happens, it should show exactly what it is. Otherwise, there's something wrong with your Java version. VCVOtoGen1.0.1.zip - Google Drive

Ah, also, check if your Java is 64-bits or 32-bits compatible. I'm not sure, but you could be trying to run this program with a 32-bit Java version, and this may be causing the problem.
Edit: I was looking for this problem on Google, and the answers I found is that it really is caused by trying to run with an old version of Java, please show me the full path of your Java JRE. It should look something like this:
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_20" or this
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_20"

Ohhh I think I understand what's the problem now- My laptop's a 32-bit, so I only have 32-bit Java here. I guess I can't run the program until I get a new laptop ^^;

Then you certainly do not have Java's latest version, and this is why you get an error when you try to run the generator. You must install Java version 8. I also made some research on the meantime, and I found out that it doesn't matter if I used a 64-bit JDK to make my program. It will run on any computer, as long as Java is up to date.

Ohh-- it's weird though, I just updated my Java recently.

I'll try to install Java 8 and try again then, thanks for telling me! ^^

New version is up!
Version 1.0.2: Design changes only: improved disposition of all elements on the window.

(I'm posting a new reply, because for some reason, I can't find any "edit" option for previous replies (specially the head of this thread))

Version 1.0.2 removed: it had a bug in which it simply would do nothing when the "Generate" button was clicked. Rendering it useless.
Version 1.0.2.1 uploaded with the fix.
Other update (that was planned for other version, but is being released earlier due to this bug fix): The parameters fields will only accept numbers now.

VCVOtoGen1.0.2.1.zip - Google Drive

I have some few extra updates planned. But they will require some bigger changes on the code, and I don't wanna do it now. This one update should raise the version to 1.1.

Um, hello!
I tried version 1.0.2.1, but when I clicked "Generate" it won't do anything.
All the fields are filled, and I did nothing with the res folders' contents. Or does this have something to do with the number of moras?

Thanks~

Well, I just tried downloading the 1.0.2.1 version from the link above, and it did generate the oto.ini correctly. Are you sure you didn't download 1.0.2 instead? This one does have this problem that you describe, that when one clicks on "Generate", it doesn't do anything.
Please, show me the settings you're using, and if possible, the reclist as well.

I have an error on 1.0.2.1, it has the same error the first person reported, y'know, they can't open it up? And I'm a 64-bit java user...

Strange, you have "3,000" set for your cutoff. But I can't input this value on my copy of the generator. It converts back to 3. Out of that, it runs and generates the oto.ini properly with the other settings
