I mentioned it, go wild.
For those who don't understand this, a picture emerged fairly recently of a dress that can now be bought online for $77 dollars. It's reported that the photo was taken in some not so fair lighting, and has started an internet wide debate of whether the dress looks gold and white, or black and blue. This most likely could be the result of colors bending due to the poor lighting.

What is your opinion about this fiasco? Is the dress white, is the dress blue, is this the result of Tumblr being Tumblr (probably)?

why

I see blue and black most of the time, but I can also see gold (have yet to really see white though). This is the most reasonable explanation for it I've found (spoiler'd because the image is kinda big):

Gold and blu-ish grey at straight on view. If tilt by screen a bit I'll see the supposed blue, black (lower down the screen) or white, gold (higher up the screen).

The actual dress itself is blue and black - it's to do with how our brain processes colours. If you think the dress is in a shadow it's white and gold. If you think it's in light it's blue and black.

I can word sorry
