They might release Miku V4 before Rin/Len V4 to use the feedback from Miku on Len/Rin. They are being really careful on the Kagamine's. The longest I think... o.o

I have a feeling Miku will take all the attention away from rin/len because well, miku.
She's planned to be released Q1 2016, and i can see that kinda taking sales away from rin/len
But its also a win/win situation?

If Miku will be released Q1 2016, the best bet for Len/Rin would be Q3~4 2016. Crypton already has the general recordings down, now with the Miku feedback they only have to work harder on tuning and phonemes and possibly record just a bit more.

tbh they could release miku in december and have more time to work on rin/len so they wont have a luka type situation //cough english soft\\cough.
If they do this, maybe Len/Rin eng/jp v4x will be much better. But since miku is their diva they will take their time on her(i think rin and len will be rushed)

Well, the Kagamine will be released in December of this year if everything's going well so technically, it'd be Miku who will come after .w."'

I'm pretty sure that the new Miku Beta bank will be the feedback to help the Kagamines. The beta bank is being handed out to any person with Miku V3 and Luka V4X

That's the point. They rerecorded Miku to sound like her old bank and the POWER/SOFT E.V.E.C is new recordings. (Knowing Crypton it's probably just the original edited in software pfff)

Wait, but I thought they said they were repairing the old samples because of Fujita's voice aging, but then you said that it wasn't edited, and now your saying it is? I'm still confused on all that ^^;;;

i believe their doing that. Their reparing the voice samples/phonemes.

On April 24th, 2015, Wat tweeted about an upcoming Hatsune Miku VOCALOID4 update. The update would contain repaired phonemes to have her sound like her VOCALOID2 vocal, as well as growl capabilities and E.V.E.C. ("Enhanced Vocal Expression Control"). It was also said that her lower D3 range and her transitions between phonemes and breath phonemes would be improved.[1] A blog post was also written about current development status, including a voice sample.[2]

They recorded the new samples then repaired them to sound like V2, then recorded the new EVEC samples. (you are a bit right though, they got new samples and got some old samples that were also repaired and put in the new bank) My comment of them being in edited software was a joke.

I see...Well as far as I know the base bank is actually just repairs. I don't know if you've heard this or not, so forgive me, I'm not trying to be patronizing, but the first we heard of Miku's V4 was a soundlcoud post that were before and afters of what I assume to be the original samples
I've also seen it said elsewhere that they're fixing up the old samples and not just recording them again due to the aging of Fujita's voice. There will be some new samples, such as the growl feature, but so far it's basically what they did with Kaai Yuki (excluding a new VA for the extra samples). At least that's what everything I've read and heard so far has said. I read some translated tweets from Wat on the matter that gave me that impression, but I can't seem to find them now. Perhaps they meant they were recording new samples and editing it to sound like V2? Everything I'd seen (and I've kind of been stalking every place I could get news in English about it since the day I heard the soundcloud release XD) gave me the impression it was the Yuki situation. But hey, that's all second-hand unprofessionally translated news, so it could be the latter. I could definitely be incorrect on all of this, I have a tendency to be wrong on a lot of things XD
Oh, I also just read where they may be repairing the appends as well! Yeay!

Fujita is only 30, she's not 59. (she wasn't a teen when they recorded)

Maybe by "aging" they rather meant "maturing" and thus, her voice was sounding a little bit womanlier or couldn't recreate Miku voice at first try.... Though it surprises me, because both VA and singers barely have their voices changing (with some exceptions)

Oh woops I was wrong, they are using repaired samples. Not of Fujita's age though. Just so they would be able to make her sound like her original bank.

Okay! That's what I thought~ ^^ Although biologically speaking from the age of 22 to 30 your voice is more than likely going to mature. It's an odd occurrence if it doesn't really XD I mean it has been 8 years (potentially more depending on how long development took.) Meh, not that it matters much in the end. Miku is getting growl and that's what's important to me~ :sing:

Yeah, maturing is a MUCH more accurate way to say it~~~

Yeah because aging, it'd be if we were on v100000000 40 or 50 years later and then yes I4d say aging rather than maturing... But here it's rather maturing the word to use

And even as I've stated, except if you take drugs, break your voice, get a disease or what, a singer/VA's voice will barely chance of tone through the years, regardless of gender (even if some consider females are more prone to it from adulthood because like physiology in general, a woman's transofrmation and aging process is much more noticeable and heavier than on some men... But again exceptions happen)

Well, the fact that they're a voice actresses doesn't matter much really XD Can't fight biology in the end no matter who ya are~ While their ability to produce a similar sound remains the same, it won't really be an exact match, hence her V3 bank sounding like Miku, but not exactly like Miku ^^ And you're right, biologically for a man the major voice changes happen when they're teenagers or much older, for women it happens around when they're really young, and then during their 20s-30s (which ironically is the time period it's been for Fujita) so it's to be expected that it would be around the time she wouldn't be able to produce a V2 Miku sound specifically. It's a hard tone to replicate at 22 in the first place really. But I suppose that's why they call in the professionals instead of hiring amateurs
