There are a few places I think are a great place to keep your UTAU(s) from being lost forever do to system failures.
There is of course the "External Drive" that a lot of users have, but not everyone can get one. (Some of us don't have the money or are minors and parents won't buy one, or you'd rather not have the drive and accidentally lose it)
Flash Drives are good if you only have a small voicebank, but that's not always the case. Some of us have large VCCV voicebanks and multi-pitches which won't fit on a majority of Flash Drives.
And finally we have upload sites like MediaFire, 4Shared and BowlRoll
Although these are great to store FINISHED voicebanks, they aren't the best to use for people who are still working on a voicebank.
What do I recommend?
Using a "Cloud" storage.
I personally use DropBox now and it's been a life saver. Not only is it on your desktop for quick and easy access, but it also syncs with your other devices you have dropbox on.
this includes tablets, smart phones and other PCs, so you'll be able to transfer your files easily to different devices.
Also, your DropBox is a private place to store your UTAU voicebanks, so no one can have access without your permission. This makes it so Google can't pick up your download like people can with MediaFire and 4Shared.
