    Returning user!

Hello! I've poked around occasionally to see what UTAU/Vocaloid is up to, but I'm finally making a real comeback. I"m a lot harder on myself nowadays, so I've been frustrated with trying to record a new voicebank, but I think I should have something soonーI'm both surprised and pleased that UTAU...

    English OREMO for macOS

Hello, I downloaded the latest dmg file from April 2020, but it says that it isn't compatible with the latest version of MacOS. ("The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information.")

    【UTAUカバー】Tokyo Teddy Bear【Taki-kun】

The vocals have a lot of life in them but they blend together - it sounds more like gibberish than distinguishable sounds/words. I also like the tone of the voice.

Hi all, Can A newbee get some help?

The voice banks are files just like anything else - if the one saved to the UST doesn't exist on your computer, the program won't be able to load anything. Chances are, a bank not playing on a certain UST has to do with currently not understanding the different types of voice banks - CV banks...

    UTAU English VCCV 2015

Dude, this is my first time seeing this thread, and holy shit. It sounds AMAZING. I have never before had any interest in making an English bank and now I absolutely cannot wait for this realist to be revealed so I can get started on it. The English samples you have posted sound better than any...

Hi all, Can A newbee get some help?

Before you can even THINK about using it to create your own songs, you are going to have to learn what this program does and how it's used. Voice banks are recorded using sound clips that the program splices together to form words (or jubberish, if you so choose). .ust is the file type that...

    Hello, name's Mai Tsukino

Well Defoko is CV. You've got to convert the ust to VCV.

    CadenciiStudio: Cadencii mod

Any chance you'll be coming back to this? It's so sad that Cadencii is so...unusable. The stuff I CAN get from it sounds so amazing, I don't want to give up hope.

    Hello, name's Mai Tsukino

I don't think the program itself has changed too much in the last few years, so I think you'll be set there. Most of us work regularly with VCV now so I think you won't have any trouble having your questions answered! A good thing to do is to download another VCV bank and take a look at the otos...

Ritsu Namine and Teto won't sing.

Been there, done that!! Lmfao You know, I'm starting to think I might give CVVC a shot before diving right in and trying to record a new VCV bank first.

Hi all, Can A newbee get some help?

I think your best bet would be to start with covers (you don't have to post them of course) and work from there - figure out how it all works together, what little tweaks are affecting the notes, etc etc. I don't know what you're searching but there's a plethora of UTAU tutorials (I can't link...

Are you worried for the UTAU community?

Again, that was not directed at you personally. There is always going to be a big focus on quality because in the end we are still using a program made to sort of mimic Vocaloid, and the entire appeal is being able to create your own. As such, they will always be compared to the always perfect...

Are you worried for the UTAU community?

Your post was amazing. I never really thought about how each "big thing" kept the fandom pumping...mostly because it was always happening, so it just seemed natural. But when you explain it that way, it makes it a lot clearer. Luckily, producing music is always going to be exciting and popular...

Are you worried for the UTAU community?

As operating systems get updates, the program will stop functioning properly. Eventually it will become impossible to use. But this - and please don't take this too personally, as I have nothing against you - is an example of how a lot of the users during the boom just didn't want feedback or...

Are you worried for the UTAU community?

I mean, isn't a huge part of getting into a fandom wanting to make friends to discuss it with? Even the girl I was very close with during my main UTAU activity and I didn't use each other's voice banks THAT much. I really just want people to talk to about it and grow with. Also, yeah, Ameya not...

Are you worried for the UTAU community?

I don't think CV is totally unacceptable anymore! I still have some CV songs in my music library that I think sound wonderful. I can definitely see the higher standards as a whole scaring people away though. To be fair, however, a lot of people in the past didn't want to hear anything negative...

Are you worried for the UTAU community?

There is certainly still plenty of great Vocaloid content coming out. Even without being very involved at all over the past few years, I've still been adding new songs that I've fallen in love with to my collection every month or so. I've been really busy now that I've suddenly become an adult...

How did you feel when you first made an UTAU?

I wish I could... I don't have either of the maybe two songs I managed to cover with my original Vocaloid. I did Toeto and Meltdown for my very first two, but I don't think they were ever uploaded anywhere...
