Alright. For those who don't already know I have been working with Sappokei and his PV workgroup to come up with cool and exciting ways to make PVs outside of your standard MMD & static images.
My proposal includes an Anime Studio 8 workflow. For those that are unfamiliar with AS think of it as a cross between Maya and Adobe Flash. It is a 2.5D animation software that allows you to assign bones to vectors and then animate them.
I like AS because though I am not much of an artist I do have technical skills and am perfectly capable of doing the vector-tracing, bone-ing, & animation after the initial assets are complete.
Here is an example of what something looks like after it has been traced & boned:
One of the things I realized when it got to storyboarding an actual PV is that this "front" view is not enough. To really make a good animation at 3/4ths and side views are also necessary. The thing is I am not very good with perspective and/or art.
I am in need of assistance in fleshing out this 'flat' design and coming up with a 3/4ths, side, and possibly 'back' view. You don't actually have to draw much, a rough sketch so my mind can grasp the perspective is fine, as I will probably have to vector-trace it in-app anyways.
I am hoping you will do this out of the kindness in your heart and eternal PV credits whenever the model is used but in the spirit of the forum I can lend you my technical expertise in web design, PV production, flash animation, or a wide variety of computer related things.
