Help with Pan Kanino?

Hi, all! So, let's get things underway. I recently downloaded Pan Kanino's VCV voicebank. But no matter how hard I try (restarting UTAU and computer, using both hiragana and romaji), I can't get their voicebank to work! Any help would be appreciated!

VCV lyrics are formatted like this:
[- か][a え][e る][u の][o う][u た][a が]

Does it work when you have notes written that way?

Adding to Kiyoteru's advice above, there is an UTAU plugin you can use to convert CV ( notes that look like this [か] [き] [く] [け] [こ], etc.) to VCV automatically!
