Miko Ooka's CV voicebank sings "za" weird

When I try to make Miko sing the syllable "za" it sounds weird and garbled but when I try to play the sample in the voicebank settings, it sounds fine
I have tried editing the frequencies but it still sounds weird

Playing a sample directly from the voicebank settings plays a direct, non-synthesised clip so you would not notice any errors in sound.

Have you tried using a different resampler to see if it's the sample itself or if it is the resampler you're currently using do not like that sample?
