    Hey there! :D

I've seen many "robotic UTAU" threads but none of them sounds as robotic as mine. So, I'd like to know if somebody can help me specially since I tried playing around with Modulation, Flags, STP & Overlap (I cleared them after), the Pitch, Mode2, Consonants Speed and some other things... But I cannot get anything good.

I also changed the resampler. Using the default one, I got something robotic-ish, but then, using TIPS I got ultrarobotic results. He can't sing fast either.

I have to say that this one is my first UTAU and any advice would be appreciated.

Here's an example of how he sounds in "The Disappearance of Kokonashi Tec". I chose this song because you can hear him singing normally and fast. Normal parts were done with the default resampler while fast parts were done with TIPS.

My microphone is not bad, and I didn't touch the OTO. I noticed that the samples doesn't sound exactly like I recorded them in UTAU, though.

Thank you by the way ! I wish you a good day.

    You didn't touch the oto?
I guess that must be the problem then.
The oto is what makes UTAU go smooth.
Its the configuration of the voice
It tells utau how to play that sample.

Many things contribute to the realism of an utau, things like:

    1. Recording style
    2. Mic quality
    3. Oto
    4. The tuning
    5. Flags/Resamplers
    6. The tuning

Since you’re good with your mic and I’m assuming the utau is vcv, It sounds like the usts parameters need to be cleared. If the oto has not been touched, then you should definitely have it thoroughly edited as well (either by yourself or have someone else do it by commission/if they’re willing

Thanks for the replies, but I'm a bit confused (specially since I'm new). What should I do?

There are a lot of tutorials for OTO'ing on Youtube. It sounds like you should start with the OTO first. I may be wrong but it sounds like your UTAU is CV. CV tends to sound choppier than VCV but its good if you're a beginner. If you don't feel like OTO-ing it yourself you can find someone to do it either for free or by paying them/ some kind of trade.

    Hey there!

Yes, I think my UTAU is CV. I have two doubts, if I may ask.

Does it matter if I recorded some extra samples to mimic better English and Spanish?

Let's suppose that OTOing the bank doesn't work. Should I re-record it?

It doesn't matter it only means more.
Also how do you mean otoing the bank doesn't work? If you do it correctly it should work just fine.

If you've recorded the bank correctly to the reclist you used(assuming you used a reliable reclist) oto'ing the bank correctly should make a proper CV bank. You can probably add some english and spanish sounds, id recommend they be CV as well.... If you don't like the current tone or sound of the voicebank after you complete the OTO then you can re-record if you want.
