I don't actually know where this goes but I need to ask this now. What's the best way to find credible sources on the topic (without interviewing or surveying anyone)?

By credible I mean not on DA, Tumblr or Wikipedia (obviously).

Idk, maybe ask @Kanru Hua ?
You might want to search for papers about speech synthesis, or use the phrase "Singing vocal synthesis"/"SVS"

Okay so here is my help, if your school uses those research websites use those. When I did my argument essay on Synths, I got most of my information from there ^_^ Groiler and such should have some.

...you mean, like, technology wise?

You can search for papers regarding vocal synthesis in general, even if just for speech.
Speech/voice synthesis is kinda a complex topic so know what you're getting in to! (aka mass confusion)
But I assume you (like most of us lol) only need it to look like you understand it P:

You may not actually get any information in these that you can actually use. I didn't really look through these in depth or anything, I just know that there is enough in there that's understandable to a point where you can pull bits and use them to find more useful information.
This is literally spam.

(tip: if you find something on Wikipedia then go follow it to it's source, all content on Wikipedia has references)

Thank you! I probably have actually seen a lot of this before but different sources usually have different information. So far I've gotten useful advice
