Normally to repair this issue i know you have to change your locale to Japan as well as your keyboard but i did this and there is still no sound being produced for me. I don't understand how to fix this and i'm pretty irritated about the whole thing. It's like i followed the rules and still got slapped in the face.

it might be the aliases, what bank are you using, and can you show me a screenshot of your screen with the ust you are using? it may just be the voicebank type. (I had this problem at first too)
I am using Default Voicebank. I have another voicebank installed but it just gives me the same result so i changed back
