Hi guys!!! I was reading the article about originality in ideas for utau and i accidently made a school girl (-_-') iremade her design and wanted to know which you guys thought was better!! (sorry for bad quality)

Since i can't draw for crap i decided to sprite Kouon!!! This is her with bubbles talking about some details since i made her le small and cant be bothered to put in more details xD

Second design is better as schoolgirl outfits are very unoriginal and uninteresting these days in my opinion. I still think you could do better though! If you google Minarai Mona she's my friend's UTAU - point of mentioning her is that originally her design was a lot like yours so far, shorts and shirt. And I was like "Cola, ilu but Mona's design is really boring". Research fashion! Even if you can't draw you could get pics of the actual clothing items, show them, and do a sketch to show how you'd want those clothes to go together.
Look on lots of sites for inspiration, like:

Even clothing websites have a lot of cool things! I love some of the fashion on http://www.modcloth.com for instance

So many fashion styles of Japan ugh. Not even talking about the boy styles and many of Harajuku. And even then I prefer the street fashion of Korea and just high end Western clothing too. And fantasy outfits.

for lots of general j-fashion stuff, I recommend WEAR! it's an app, which is kind of a pain, but there's a lot of fun fashion - not just japanese either! if you do get one I recommend following user wadamiyuki (@wadami0112), who posts lots of really pretty hairstyle ideas

New ideas... my friend said maybe flannel and tank top. Yay or nay? I obviously can't draw it so just IMAGINE BLEHEHELEHELLLHE
