First, my answer: I prefer the whisper version, but mainly because the phoneme transitions are slightly smoother.

Having said that, they both sound like CV voicebanks. I think Teto has a whisper VCV bank, so you might consider trying it. I found the "transition" from CV to VCV rather easy.

Lol I take too long to write posts orz; Still going to share it in case you want more opinions I guess

Personally I think normal works better. With some EQ adjustments (the link goes to an article with specific tips) in mixing you could make it soft-ish like the original. The whisper version isn't bad but my ears are really sensitive to whispery sounds so I'm biased.

I really want to learn to program so I can try to make UTAU XSY a thing I can dream right
