Miku's Chinese... That would be really interesting (please, make this happened Crypton)!

For what I know, Vocaloid (and Miku) has become guide popular(?) in China. So I think that making a Chinese VB for Miku wouldn't be waste of money for the company

A Chinese VB? If you want to know the truth, I didn't like Miku when she was released, and still don't like her voice... Hope this Chinese VB will be somewhat different...

I doubt it'll be much different. Might be like English v3 where the tone is closer to Dark append (lucky if the tone is close to origjnal). Will likely be on the awkward side (normal for first time language attempts). If you don't like any aspect of Miku, then I doubt a new language will change your mind.

I think this could be really cool! I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope that it turns out better than V3 English did.

Chinese is phonetically a lot simpler, so I forsee that the results will be better than the initial Miku English bank. Though, I'm not fond of the phoneme system that Chinese vocaloids currently use, which I think forces unrealistically exact pronunciation...

OMG it sound so good ! I love the tone, it's close to a Light/Vivid combo ~ é

However some pronunciation things they'd need to fix (though it must be just me as i'm tired so I may have heard some wierd things instead) :

- She pronounces the Mandarin e in "de" as Japanese i while it should be kinda like an "euh" sound or a loong schwa
- The "e" is "feng" is pronuocend as "fèn" while it sould be again a sund close to an "euh" sound or the e and i in pErfect and sIr
- SH phonem sounds a bit too close to Japanese sh so it sounds kinda the same as Chinese X at times (not for all)

Otherwise rest sounds fine and is even good for a very first start in a language other than Japanese and (now) English

After maybe Native will pinpoint other thingfs i've missed but based on the classes I had, those are the oens I've noticed

(BTW now I think about it, maybe Miku was the mysterious character figure in the Language of Flower figurines set ? Though I kinda have doubts, as it may be just a brand new character nor even a trributee figurine to Lorra nor even Zyon mascot but again only those who bought the set and will receive it can tell us)

Edit : Oh also, we haven't added the talkloid video here have we ?

rip luo tianyi my child, miku's going to take over your throne as cute chinese vocal

Jokes aside though, this is cute! Maybe now I'll be able to find a proper download to the off vocal of Paranoid Love Song, because people will want to cover it.

for the first point - in that song, you always pronounce the 的 as "di" - compare yuezheng longya's sample. idk why :P
it's pretty understandable that a japanese person would have trouble pronounced a schwa sound since that's not present in japanese
what do you mean about the last one...? japanese sh and chinese sh are the same afaik...

sorry, don't mean to sound overly defensive :P just wanted to point some stuff out

overall I really like this vocal and her accent is pretty good. it will probably sound great tbh chinese vocaloids have all been great so far

It's only my opinion
The demo is soo terrible!
[doublepost=1480963938][/doublepost]I began isteric when listening to Miku Chinese... It is too cute, and it is not really beautiful. For example, Luo Tianyi is cute, but I caught a different thinking about her, because also I listened to traditional Chinese songs feauuring her, and I can associate her with lotus or somewhat. Miku... for her I don't like quite nothing...

I love her Chinese voice, and that's coming from me who's pretty infamous for really only liking her V3 English and SOLID libraries. I'm not fluent nor do I speak the language in general, but from my research on it her pronunciation is pretty good for a foreigner voicing her. I can't wait to see the duets she has with Tianyi, the queen of Chinese VOCALOID. I doubt Miku will overthrow Tianyi, Miku didn't overthrow any Engloids nor did she stop production. A native voice is usually easier to use and Tianyi still has her upcoming V4 with appends so she's be more versatile than Miku will be. I think her Chinese name is also pretty cute.

I'm waiting for Tianyi! Being baby-made, she is very versatile. We heard her performing pubeat dance songs, traditional Chinese songs, rock songs, idolish songs... all!
