Lots of you know I want to do a project combining traditional Japanese music and pop
Toda I talked with one of our members, Sugiyama Yukie, about audio editing. We need someone who could help us mixing the tracks we will do to have the final result. We will use multitracking (one will record a rack, the other another track etc.), and none of us is capable of audio editing, mixing, Mastering etc.
We reall need someone who could help us prividing these features... at the price of free!
Please, take care of my request, because we need someone
Thank you soooooooooooooooo much
Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, it really IS strange you didn't get any replies. It seems like a good half the userbase here is proficient in mixing to some degree, and most of them willing to give their services away for free. Did you finally find someone? If not, I'll be around for an (albeit flaky) stand-in mixer. I say flaky... because I don't often check utaforum unless I'm specifically looking for collaborators or critiques.

I didn't find anyone. Please, could you PM me? I have to make the other members know you, but you cannot post your mail here, because of spamming. A day, I posted a mail in a forum, and I received like 10 spams! Also, I cannot PM for unknown reasons... what I explained lots of times in the chatbox...
Thank you sooooooooooooo much!

I do remember now, that you said you cannot send PMs properly! It's because of your screen reader, right?

Is this the 25-string koto project? If so, I will be upfront: that is a very unique style of music and I one that I am not used to mixing. I will not say "no," but I may not get it right!

you can email me at
whiskers.catrow@yahoo.com
I have multiple emails, this one is for things I think might give me spam-- so I am not worried about the spam!

I cannot start a PM, but I can reply. Also, I didn't completely understand what you said about the kokorogen

I just wondered if this was the kokorogen project? That is a different kind of music than I am used to, and I might not be good at mixing it. I'll try, though!

I think covering pop music, including vocaloid, in an unusual way is pretty interesting. It sometimes gets a lot of attention because of how cool it turns out.

(Also I see what you mean about the spam now! utaforum.net linked that email with my account, and started sending utaforum.net updates to that email.)

I think you can, because I think mixing is not specific for a kind of music... anyway, please send me a PM, because w can talk with more flessibility (not spam!!!!)

Mixing is certainly different for different kinds of music! But yes, I received your email and will reply to it shortly. I think working with your group I will probably learn a thing or two.

A thing or two? In what sense

Well, to begin, I might learn how to mix the instruments you're going to be using in a way that suits the style of music you're making.

Also, I suspect there's not going to be a recording technician around for anybody's performances, so I might have to learn how to "fix" recordings of these new instruments as we go. I can usually fix vocals, and I can splice different takes of a guitar track together, but a koto? I'm not so sure yet.

Hmmm... most of the pieces are vocals/nijuugogen, so it depends on the pieces. The majority are vocal/nijuugogen, but some pieces canbe nijuugen/nijuugogen or nijuugogen/nijuugogen (two)
