Who is your "UTAU Senpai"?

Way back when I was starting out, my senpais were SenorCheeseKun (now cheesum), MsConstantine, and 1313destiny1313. I liked their voicebanks at the time.
A little later on, my senpai was Dan, currently known as DvoraKing. I bought the exact same microphone as him, a blue snowball, just to copy him. Ah, what a silly kid I was. Though I do still respect him.
The closest thing I have to an UTAU senpai right now would be Jeremy/Caustic.

I wouldn't say that I have a Senpai since admittedly most I do is just learned with tutorials on YouTube, but those that I did find helpful on there with their vids were @OcarinaLink24 and @PaintedCz.
The person I admire and want to match tuning wise though is @Kowareta33 who I found especially impressive with making UTAU sound more human, especially in her UTAU cover of I Don't Understand the Meaning of That Blue.

Other people I admire are @Skiyoshi 十三 for their art skill and kindness, @SynthJ for his support and because I admire his dedication and the same can be said for @Yozane and @PRISMkidd.
UTAU making wise, I admire @Pupuomena and the many UTAU they have as well as @RaccoonButler and all the cute and quirky little details that go into the characters.

Some honorable mentions are @Madam Meisaki and @CarrotBunz who also do their best, but for the most part I don't really look to see how skilled someone is or what I can take from them that they pass on, more so than I look to see how creative people can be and how committed to completing any UTAU project without getting discouraged or burning out.

For someone like me who has yet to release anything, I must say it's pretty admirable and in a way, pretty much anyone who has had the courage and commitment to make something and promote it and stay happy with what they make no matter what could be a good Senpai in my book.

Like Blue, I didn't really interact much with the community when I first started out. I tended to avoid the Chatbox since I was uncomfortable with live chatting with people I didn't know IRL >_<; (it's a different feel from replying to threads for me) until last year so I mostly relied on tutorials.

But for someone I really admired back then and still do to this day is @shinami even if she hasn't posted anything for more than a year. I really admire her tuning and like the way she replies to threads and I want her to update the resamplers thread dammit I even helped her senpai didn't fully notice my help ;;
I also see @Kuro Cure as a VB senpai. My dream is to have at least 1% of her power :uhuhu:

My utau senpai is literally everyone who has successfully created a bank that sounds good (by my standards so basically it works) and with their own voice, AND Raccoon Butler (Butter voice as I call her because she has a REALLY smooth voice.) because she has helped me A LOT through my journey and has just been a really good friend, Raccoon, Merle/Scarlet/Eyeris, and Kassandra have all been really nice to me and I just want to say thank you very much!

Mae Blythe. As far as "senpai" goes anyway, she taught me a lot and I've looked up to her for a very long time. I do have quite a few friends and other people's work has impressed me before o:

Aww... <3 @UTAUlikeVOCALOID :3 I'm kinda touched to read that •3•

@kimchi-tan would be my UTAU senpai. Why?
  • Really funny
  • Really friendly (she pops in and helps me out when I need help and stuff)
  • Best meme shitposts
  • Amazing at mixing (teach me your ways senpai~)
  • HOW COULD YOUR TUNING BE SO HEAVENLY~?
  • overall she was one of the first people I could say became my UF friend :')
Oh and I also admire cutie-roo@Kiyoteru because he:
  • Sounds so professional; he seems to know exactly anything about almost everything UTAU and mixing
  • Reminds me of those cool literal 'senpais' in anime
But hey, everyone in UtaForum has influenced me one way or another, like @sailor_ravioli and @수연<Suyeon>whos been really friendly and helpful when I was starting out and had the "have you set the locale to Japanese?" Issue lololol
And also @Pupuomena and @Shasta (how can you manage to make so many voicebanks I need tips)
and the microphone kami @_caustic_ who gives advice on mics and stuff (I read posts that you critique mics btw but don't understand many stuff OTL and I really appreciate your comment on a cardioid mic ^-^)
@RaccoonButler's sense of humor gets me so much
@SOHBlue's sweetness and efforts on posts is like something I look for in people and myself as well hahaha
@UTAUlikeVOCALOID's willingness to ask people about even he simple things also inspires me to be shameless ask freely without really thinking about what others would think
... Well tbh I could go on but I don't wanna go sappy and take too much space on this thread (which I think I already am) ^^;

:,> feel honored because people are calling me their senpai you're all too kind

I don't know if I can call just one person my senpai because I feel like everyone helped me grow from a little nooblet into the giant shitpost meme tree I am today, (like really I think I've asked like 5 million questions in the few months I've actually been here and gotten help for pretty much all of them)

so I guess- everyone is my senpai ;v;

I'd say my senpai is @kimchi-tan and @SoulTribute13 (even though she's inactive, but she's a bit active in that other group in Google+) Dem tuning owo I have good tuning too anyways... I guess....... With recording VBs (I'm planning to LOL) I admire @Kuro Cure 's power. I could say I have a powerful voice but, like.... at male ranges w00t. I ask at different groups so I have some other senpais there.... I don't have senpais with PV making because I have experience with that, a lot. I "still" guess. idek. otoing senpai? She's in the other group... Should I invite her here LOL.

Me? Sempai?! >///< Kyaaa, I'm blushing//slapped

Thank you both ; 3 ; )

*reads thread's topic*

And mine "senpai"?

Hm... well, when I beginning using UTAU, I did listened Myst's usage of Macne Coco Black and Macne Nana's "UTAU" VB and I absolutely loved it. Back then I was surprised that a simple CV VB can sound that great tbh, it really inspired me(?)

Yuunarii was my second "sempai". I liked her UTAU Fushi Murasaki (and still do). Yuunarii was super nice person to chat with, she did even give some good UTAU related advices.

Hmm, also Adlez27 (aka. DystoP) is really helpful member of this forum and also have also post helpful resources to use too. I appreciate him a lot.

IDK who else to mention. You guys all rock! >///<

omg @SOHBlue Thank you so much! <3

For me, I don't really have an UTAU senpai at the moment; everyone I look up to is in the Vocaloid community. ;A;
I do love a lot of people's tuning though! Like Akem, Ragey, Konuko, @Kuro Cure, Elun, etc.
I don't look up to any UTAU users since I'm not that deep into the community. I should probably fix that orz
