DeepVocal - Is Arpasing Possible?

I've been looking into using DeepVocal lately, either to make a new character entirely, or to port my current voicebanks. The official voicebank making tutorial says that all DeepVocal voicebanks must be CVVX, which is basically CVVC. And I've heard Arpasing be referred to as a type of CVVC before.

So I was wondering if it might be possible to do Arpasing in DeepVocal, or maybe something similar to it? Or is regular CVVC/CVVX the only way to go?

I'll probably mess with this a bit on my own, but I thought I'd ask anyways in case someone more experienced with DeepVocal has anything to say.

Arpasing works on the basis of 2-phoneme units: [C V][V C][C C][V V] as well as [- C][- V] and [C -][V -]
The way DeepVocal works is strictly on the basis of [- CV] or [CV] and [V C][V V][V -], because it was optimized for Mandarin Chinese. There is no way to have [CC] units because neither phoneme will be recognized by the system as a vowel and it will prohibit you from creating the voicebank.
The only way to have consonant clusters is at the beginning of a syllable in the CV, or at the end as a tail symbol. The tail symbol system was originally intended for end-breaths only, but it can be taken advantage of for clusters. However, these are strictly at the end of syllables (and in fact optimized for the end of an entire phrase), and will not create smooth transitions between syllables.

Huh, interesting. Thanks for the info!
