How do I install Sinsy?

First of all - don't tell me just to use the online demo, I need an offline version. I tried downloading it from SourceForge and from here. I created a virtual machine with Ubuntu on it for that exact reason. The thing is, I have no idea how to install stuff on Ubuntu since I always use Windows. I've tried the stuff mentioned in the INSTALL file, but it doesn't work - first, it said I need to have the HTS engine installed, and when I installed it (idk if I did it properly though), it still displays some errors when I try to install Sinsy. Can someone write a detailed, step-by-step tutorial on how to install Sinsy? Or give me a DL for an already compiled version?

technically you can build sinsy on windows, I did it in the past since I patched hts_engine and sinsy to build on windows

I'll probably just share the executable of the windows version, would be much faster I think
