Uh... isn't Keko Kasane illegal? Her voice samples are from Len Kagamine.
Keko Kasane is not illegal you just add -30 to the gender on VOCALOID Circus-P made her on Polkaloid but the config is saved and she is a VOCATAU because her sister and brother are Teto and Ted Kasane but her voice comes from a pitch of Len

..."VOCATAU" is not a thing.
I read that thread on VocaloidOtaku and they were simply trying to tell you why 'bringing back' Keko is a bad idea.

Keko Kasane might've been popular, but that was a long time ago, very early in the UTAU fandom. I'm not even sure about that, because I joined about a year after the software was first released, and never saw much of Keko around on the internet.
Now, you mentioned Polkaloid? That is exactly why people think she's illegal, because Polkaloid itself is illegal. And these days, she won't be very popular no matter how hard you try for these reasons:
  • CircusP wants everyone to forget about Keko, because he made her illegally back when he was younger and less mature. It's embarrassing for him, and a lot of other people because...
  • She was only popular because she rides on other character's success: Teto's and Len's. When you can't use Len's voice, all she has is a design which is a rip-off of Teto's. They are exactly the same, she just has white and green clothes, with longer drills.
  • ...I don't know if you've noticed but both the Vocaloid and UTAU community aren't keen on recolours.
  • You know that "her" voice is actually Len's. Not many people are going to use it then, because Vocaloid must be bought, and they are quite expensive. And if people get Len, why bother using him as Keko? Len is much more popular and doesn't have these problems.
  • Even if someone wanted to use Keko "for free", the only way is to use Polkaloid, and that is illegal.
Now, would anyone want to use a character associated with all these bad things? Considering her voice is Len, she's not even an UTAU.
UTAU and the fandom has moved on to bigger and better things, and you should do the same.

She's like Neru but her fandom has given her even more changes she has some new little design changes like a play button on her back between her shoulder blades and she has a tie instead of buttons (which isn't a change it has always been that way) and I know about the Circus-P not liking her but seriously this thread was suppose to be a rant so why do you even bother and VOCATAU is a thing because if you make something up like Coolerloid then that is now a type because you can make up anything for a character and it can be a thing like my UTAUs are Watakashiloids and KagamineEdd has already brought Keko back

I don't think you've understood what I've said.
Also, I replied because I can, even if it's on the Random/Spam thread, and to try and fix your misunderstanding on VocaloidOtaku. Forums are public, and are open for debate.

It doesn't matter if she's like Neru. Neru doesn't have problems with legality, and still recolours/derivatives like her are becoming unpopular nowadays.
Even if she
I doubt KagamineEdd has 'brought' her back; I've seen absolutely 0 videos of Keko when I browse generally, and only get results of her on Youtube when I specifically search. I don't want to be harsh, but Keko's fans seem to be newbies to the fandoms/software, including yourself, so works featuring Keko aren't very good quality. Bad quality work doesn't get popular.

If you know about CircusP not liking his own creation, why not respect that and let it die down already?
On VocaloidOtaku, the reason people were getting angry with you was because even though you read their advice, you seemed to ignore them. Especially the thing about CircusP, if you've truly listened, then you wouldn't just ignore over 10 pages of people telling you your Keko idea was bad.

^You've said all that I was going to say.

I seriously want to stress the whole Circus-P thing though because he created her, and if he wants her to not be a thing anymore then you should respect his wishes.

As previously stated, it is just embarrassing for him and to continue to acknowledge Keko is just mean for that reason.

... why do you even bother...
Sweetie, you do realize that this is a public forum where people can answer your thread and voice their own opinions, right? This isn't your personal blog with comments turned off or a diary with a lock and key. You ask why people bother? You chose to make this topic in places that are open to the public. You chose to bring up a topic where you know people are going to disagree with you. If VO wasn't your first clue that people don't want Keko to become a thing again due to the history of her origins, then I don't know what else to tell you. This is more than about being a recolor of an UTAU or being derived from a Vocaloid: this is about the fact that the creator in question came up with the idea while using a pirated version of the software and has already come under fire for it. The creator no longer wants to keep it going - hasn't updated the channel for her since it's inception, so why do you persist in making it happen? There are other derivatives of Rin/Len, so why are you so attached to the one that everyone else wants to forget?

I don't really care if Circus-P doesn't like Keko and I am not a newbie to Vocaloid I have been Using VOCALOID and UTAU for like a year I took a short break but got back into it

First of all, you should care. Circus-P would rather be famous for his songs, rather than some fan-made Mary Sue he made years ago.

Also, the reason why people are thinking you are a newbie is because you're acting like one. Though its not often clearly stated on this forum, maturity is important. You aren't showing maturity by acting this way.

dude I am a guy and you just called me sweetie -_-

Don't diss Tsukine Sayuri. Its actually quite easy to assume you're a girl, because your UTAU is a girl, and her design is pink and blue. Besides, you can call guys sweetie.

Now, I'm sure most of the people on this forum don't wish to continue this argument, so if you reply angrily to this post, I will assume you are a troll. Come back to this forum when you are showing maturity.
