What is UTAU? UTAU is a voice synthesizing software that allows you to mix and edit a virtual singing voice, in order to create a vocal track to your music when you lack a singer or are in general- a weeb. It works by taking pre-recorded sounds, such as “ie, eh, ka, sa” and then mashing them in the editor to form a vocal arrangement. It sounds unnatural and sometimes even uncanny to native speakers at first (it’s not a real human so its sounds off in places), so find a language you don’t speak and listen to it that way, migrate into your native tongue and bam! You're an UTAU fan baby. Most “voicebanks” which are the vocal files, come with an “personification” and description, the art is usually in an anime or sometimes a furry or sketchy style, and have a description of a character per vocal bank.
