    Best Resamplers for Hakaine Maiko

I don't know if there's an easier way but re-otoing definitely works. Refer to https://utaforum.net/threads/how-to-oto-growl-samples.19889/

How far FL Studio has come

Well, Logic isn't exactly renowned for being beginner-friendly either. Most DAWs have been originally designed and marketed for people who already knew how to mix on analog consoles, i.e. not beginners, and while FL Studio is not one of those, it's originally a sequencer. Obviously programs...

    Advice for a Classical Voicebank

If you move the mic farther away, it will pick up less of your voice but it will still pick up the exact same amount of room reverb, i.e. the samples will effectively get roomier, which you don't want. It's better to adjust the mic's input volume to get recordings that aren't clipping.

What do you do to gain confidence?

I never have enough confidence but the trick is that I don't care. If I release something and people don't like it, I see that positively and take it as an opportunity to learn and improve. This is also really good advice, especially when there's 234957239485734895 voicebanks out there already...

    How to OTO growl samples?

One of the things you have to do is to prevent UTAU from evening out the pitch, which you can do by editing the pitch data to make UTAU think it's already even.

How far FL Studio has come

Well, it has been getting better with each update. Pros: - super fast workflow for mixing, sound design and songwriting/production - good for engineer-y people who like to actually know what they're doing, to complement how you hear and feel the music - comes with Sytrus, Harmor, Vocodex and...

    UTAU that lacks emotion

I know, I was agreeing with you and adding more stuff on top of it.

    UTAU that lacks emotion

It's actually better if you don't record every day. You can get the most out of your voice if you take your time warming up, then record for 1-2 hours maximum, and let your voice rest for two days, meaning no singing, no shouting, etc. It's also worth keeping in mind that the emotion comes...

How do some Users record such perfect voicebanks?

Condensers do also have their advantages. I guess the main (good) reasons are that they sound brighter which sounds nice on vocals, they are better at picking up small details of the voice (or anything in general), they respond to transients slightly differently which can be desirable for a lot...

How do some Users record such perfect voicebanks?

I would actually advice against buying a $1000 mic for a home studio unless you're really struggling to find things to spend money on, because at that price point, it's probably a condenser and what condensers are good at is picking up a lot of the room reverb, which you definitely don't want...

    Tips for realistic tuning?

What's even better is to look at spectrograms of actual singers' voices (while also listening). A lot of things that singers do regarding pitch don't necessarily register if you're trying to do it by ear, since you're so used to those things being there that it doesn't even sound like they're...

I think the community may have some problems

I have never found myself having problems with young people in any community. It's always the adults who will have a harder time adjusting, and especially when it comes to hobbies such as music where things cost money and you probably have to know English pretty well to be able to tap into all...

I think the community may have some problems

I think Kiyoteru mostly got it right: Another thing to note is that there isn't necessarily a need for a huge UTAU community, but perhaps people should be more focused on getting people outside of the community to use UTAU instead. Look at the Kontakt community, they're hardly more active than...

How important is it for appends to stay consistent in tone?

It's a question of how you market it. If you do appends that don't sound like the core library, you can frame it as a multitude of different tonal options, and if you keep the appends consistent with the core library, you can frame it as a library which reflects how a real vocalist sounds when...
