Midi Won't Play?

So I downloaded some midi file and imported it into Utau, and since I'm new to the midi aspect of things I'm not sure of how to make sense of things... Whenever I try playing the notes a warning message pops up and says that a wav file can't be generated. Also, each note (showing up as 'a', of course) has that envelope '!' sign above it, and trying to reset/normalize them doesn't work.. Any ideas to make the file work?

The exclamations in UTAU generally mean something's wrong with the envelopes, like they intercept or something...

And it doesn't seem that way, Defoko's oto and some others are fine, I think it's an issue with importing midi but idk how to fix it...
[doublepost=1499108080][/doublepost]Oh never mind lol I fixed it(with the help of old postings) The tempo was at like 50000, too much for Utau and so I just input 120 and it fixed everything ^=^

you should reset the envelopes and try without crossfading.
Generally, the default wavtool with fail to blend notes if the envelopes are wonky so it's actually a common issue of your oto stopping it.

you can always replace the "a" with something like "ra" so the envelopes don't bug out...or adjust your oto.

It could be a tempo problem in the UST, I'm not 100% sure though. Have you tried changing it?

The easiest way to do so is just going to the very beginning of the UST, like the very very beginning, right-clicking the gray bar next to your UTAU's name where the tempo should be, going to Tempo and changing it from there to the tempo the midi should be in.

EDIT: Aaah, I posted too late, but glad you got it to work, lol :sing:

yup usually if a midi isnt working at first , its the tempo. Most of the time it goes to 50000 by default. if you dont know the tempo of the song, just put the off vocal into MixMeister
I sometimes get the message that says a wav file cant be generated, even if its already a ust. if this happens by any chance just restart your computer ^^;
