Could you spare a bed for a sleepysheep?

Hi Utaforms my name is sleepysheep7. I originally was over on Vocaloid Otaku but since they have shut down, I decided to come over here along with vocaverse to keep up with news on voice synthesizers.

I originally wasn't much of a fan of UTAU thinking it was a rip off of vocaloid, but over time I have come to warm up to it and even find the voices to be very good (or better than some vocaloids) as the community continued to improve.

I don't really have a favorite UTAU but I tend to listen to a lot of Aro Rouon, Ritsu Namine ( Probably one of the earliest vippers that got me into UTAU), Teto Kasane, Kohaku Marry, and Kye. (Though I am sure I could think of more)

My friend WinterdrivE convinced me to try to make an UTAU after he released his UTAU Kye. I figured it couldn't hurt so I went ahead. My current set up is a Sterling ST59 microphone (to be honest I can't exactly remember which version it is because at the moment I have it packed since I am in the middle of moving to a new house. I just know that the recordings sound nice when I listen compared to my old mics i had), a Scarlett 2i2 2nd gen audio interface, a generic metal pop filter, and my DAW is FL-studios. I might use OREMO (DOREMO?) to help with the recording because I have seen a lot UTAUers mention but I don't know much about it. At the moment I am really only focusing on a CV bank because while I know about otoing and a few other things, I don't feel I have enough experience to make a VCV or an english bank that would be good quality. (My main concern which held me back for a long time was that my bank would be to low of quality or worse, heavily accented)

Beyond that there isn't to much about me that is interesting. But if you want to ask question I'll try my best to answer them.

Welcome to UtaForum, I remember you from my 2011 VO days (but my name there didn't matter, you wouldn't remember me).
It's nice to see you finally aboard UF. Good luck with your UTAU!

Thanks, I hope people will like it. But I also remember you back on VO (or someone with your username). So far it seems like a lot of people have moved over here or to the discord.

Yeah, i was there for the forum games more than anything else, though I would have dropped on for other discussions now and then if I was in the mood lol. I was here for a few years anyway so there really wasn't any migration for me lol.

Welcome to UtaForum, i hope you have a nice time here~
Good luck with your utau! ( `0v0)9

Thank you both. I'll do my best to be a good member. Even though it is a bit ambitious, I do hope to make a high quality utau that people enjoy using. Though I do need to learn my range first so I can figure out where to record at. (Are guys who can sing high in demand still? because my last test my range was about C3 to G5)
