mentor?

so, while i was looking through posts i found out some (a lot?) of people had some sort of mentor to help them out at some point
i was thinking if anyone is willing to, it might be nice to add someone on discord or something and have them help me out a little bit. im struggling to figure things out pretty bad, especially since i want to make original english songs and a lot of the resources that come up when i do searches are for japanese and covers. which can be helpful sometimes! but not always. i just feel like im not really making any progress, and i might need more direct help, thanks!
