EDIT: Also I added a bunch of youtube channels I like in a new section. They're generally channels that do silly/parody tutorials and music challenges, which can be quite inspirational.

This is a master post collecting many different options that you might possibly need for composing and producing original music. For something like making USTs and mixing covers, you'll want to have a DAW, effects, and one instrument to use as a placeholder while making a MIDI.
