Hello there (*´∇`*)!!

Um... I'm very, VERY new to this UTAU thing.. Not sure exactly what to put here too.. Haha~! I just found this out though after typing in a word that I miss-spelled and it lead me to a bunch of UTAU video covers and such! So, after doing some fun research I found out about this form as well! Hopefully it is still active (;・∀・)… Because I have a lot of questions and not sure how to start with making an UTAU--

I mean a kind of friend told me best way to start is the name but another person told me to start after I make a voice bank but..... What exactly is the first step on making an UTAU really..?? As I said, freshly new to this whole thing but excited as well! (^▽^)!

If there are any pointers anyone can give me, much appreciated because right now I'm a bit lost and don't fully know how to go about this~!! Thank you!!

Hope your having a wonderful day~!! (*ゝω・)ノ

Also, it's nice to meet you! Call me Cherii! (●o’∪`o)ノ―♪`*.+

Hi there Cherii, welcome to UF

VB or character first? I'd say create VB first.
Creating a VB will help you get used to the basics of UTAU and the basics of making a VB (ie. how to use OREMO, how to .oto, sing samples, correct pronunciation etc.)

Character/name/design can be made later since people will use the voice once they downloaded a VB. Also, having a VB done first will help you create a design that'll compliment with VB's voice.

You can check out resource section to get more info on how to create a VB, read forum threads to find tips from UTAU users, and check UTAhelp section if you find trouble.
I hope you earn lots of UTAU stuffs here!

If you ever need help don't be afraid to ask questions in the forum!! We're here to help o uo/

Idk about everyone else but I'm also happy to help on Discord if you want an instant chat to make things easier!!

As for starting an UTAU, I'd say starting with playing around with a VB would be the best thing to do first! Then you can get a feel for how your voice will sound through the engine and the tone of your voice can help to shape your character! Word of advice: try to pick a pitch that's more towards the middle of your range! A previous friend of mine recorded a full VB with a lower chest-voice pitch when she wanted a head-voice kind of VB, so just recording a basic "ah" in different tones and rendering that through some tests can help you out in picking how you want to record!!

But ye everything soursop said too!! Welcome ;w ;//

Honestly, I would love it if I could get some help by Discord-- I have now been trying to figure this out but I'll admit.. All the words are starting to jumble my head and get me a bit confused like no tomorrow now. Can't seem to find an easy tutorial to find because when I start reading one and follow the steps I somehow manage to find a different tutorial and then get confused.. Help on this would be much appreciated! ( iдi )!!
