Static in samples - Oremo

Hi, I need some help! The last time I attempted to record a voice bank was almost a year ago. I went back to record today to hopefully and finally make a voice bank and I realised why I had quit so suddenly.

Oremo keeps having this static noise in my samples and I mean it blocks out the whole sample it isn't just at silent parts. I've tested getting further away and closer to my Mic. I've tested changing my microphones from a Usb to some crappy headset Mic I have. Nothing changed it still had static in my samples.

I'm unsure if its Oremo or my computer (2008 Mac mini) but even after reinstalling Oremo it will be fine for a few samples and then I'll start to have static again. Please help!

Does the same thing happen when you try to record audio in other programs, such as Audacity?
Are you using the mac-native version of OREMO or the Wineskin wrapper?

I just tried Audacity and had the same problem. It's my mac mini. This is really frustrating.

Hm, had there not been a problem in Audacity, I would've suggested switching the version of OREMO you were using. But if the problem is persisting in all software the only thing I can think of to suggest is keeping your computer updated and restarting. Do mind that I don't recommend High Sierra or Mojave, since it will break compatibility with a lot of useful software, just install the other updates available.

Thank you for the advice!! I'll just have to make do then with what I have.
