What do you do to gain confidence?

Heyo!

I'm sorry if my message sounds a bit edgy.

I wanted to release my UTAU for a long time now. However, whenever I'm going to finish my demo reel, I always think that my voicebank isn't good enough to be released. So, I end up scrapping it and making another one. I'm really afraid of what people would think of it, if they think it's easy to use, etc.

So, I was wondering, when you're releasing your UTAU, making covers, doing an UST, what helps you to be confident enough to post it?

Thank you for reading, and I'm really sorry if this is worded badly.

Have a great day!

I kinda think of it like this:
Do you like what you've created? Are you satisfied with your work? If you are happy with what you make then share it with the rest of us. The rest will come later. Don't burn yourself out because you've been scrapping voicebank after voicebank. Think about the functionality, but in a simplified way. All voicebanks are welcomed (except those that violate UTAU's rules and stuff), if that wasn't the case, then the first voicebank I've released would have been wiped off the face of the internet at this point. Share it with us. If there's issues that we have then we'll help you through it. But we can't help if we can't have it.

Hopefully that helps.
Encouragement from Zao! (MS Paint).png <---- some encouragement, I guess. Yes, this is an MS paint drawing made at 2 AM.

If you want to release a voicebank, release it for yourself. Release it because you want to be able to say "I finished this hard af project that I put more dedication into than my job/school work." Don't release it just to satisfy others cause there will always be someone out there with an opinion. Just like you may not like every voice out there, someone may not like yours. Some people will refuse to work with whatever configuration your bank may have. Some people will demand a particular language even if it's not to your interest. If you like the way it sounds, the language(s) you recorded for, and the configuration you chose, then you release the bank as is and be proud to use it.

I never have enough confidence but the trick is that I don't care. If I release something and people don't like it, I see that positively and take it as an opportunity to learn and improve.

This is also really good advice, especially when there's 234957239485734895 voicebanks out there already and nobody is ever going to need that many or even have enough time to check all of them out, so it's extra hard to get people to care about yours. It can be really good and still receive next to no attention at all.
