To use any voicebank, open first an empty UST file.

Then, select the folder of the voicebank (that contains wav files, readme.txt and oto file) that you want to use and just drag and drop that into UTAU-Synth window.

After that, it should ask if you want to use that VB, click right option この音源に切り替える(means "change to this voicebank").

Now the whatever voicebank what you want to use should be inside UTAU-Synth.

It says no notes to render, is that the voicebank itself?

You need to create notes in the piano roll itself if you want to play them.

If you're using a Japanese UTAU, you will need to input lyrics in Hiragana. Likewise, for other languages, the lyrics will need to match the way that the phonemes are written.

If a voicebank has multiple expressions in one, chances are, you'll need to put suffixes after the lyrics in order to use a certain expression. See if you can find any documentation about which suffixes to use.

Nothing about a suffix, but apparently i have to put a ? infront of the lyric, but even that doesn't work.

IT'S ALL OK tho thanks for the help. At least now I got a better understanding of voicebanks. I'll just try another voicebank!
