first english utauloid?

does anyone know who the first english utauloid was? i'm guessing it was probably aiko but i don't actually know, and i don't know if anyone else does know or was in the fandom long enough to know. i'm just curious lol

We're coming up on Trem's 10 year anniversary of release, it seems! Nearly ten years since December 3, 2009. I'm not sure if you could find a released English voicebank earlier than that.

i was initially thinking of neko kanochi english bc i don't think she follows a regular reclist :/ but definitely trem should be the first attempt at an english utau bank bc i don't think anyone else was wasting away saying "lets make utau sing in cohesive english" in 2009

This is super interesting. I didn’t know there were other attempts at an English voice bank before CZloid. I’m curious to see what the rec list for this utau looks like.

I found Trem’s English sample and working download link. I’m surprised that the VB is still up and was less that 10MB?????

kinda considering downloading it and playing around to see what i can do with it. as choppy and slurry as the vb is, i actually really like that effect because i don't find "realistic" vocalsynths all that special, i like the robotic-y noise that directly tells you that you're listening to a program sing.
