Alright. I've taken a quick look on the bank and and found some gaps in the oto. That might be the cause of the problem on why she is skipping some notes.

The page loads but when I click download it tells me the page doesn't exist
Here's the mediafire link:

Makes sense a non-user wouldn't be able a sta.sh drop.

Odd, I had oto and aliassed the entire bank. However, she skips existing files as well..

Thanks. missing entries is exactly what I was gonna look for but aeroza beat me to it.

It looks like some of them might be aliased incorrectly, which may be causing the VB to skip aliases that you think are there. For example, I see in Aeroza's last screenshot that the file zi_zi_zu_za_ze_zi is aliased with kana for ji_ji_ju_ja_je_ji. eg, [i じゅ] should be [i ず] based on the file name.

Do you perhaps have a list for advanced VCV aliases?

I'm gonna give up on this project, I think,

Since most working Japanese VCV voicebanks are recorded in hiragana, I am unable to read what I am copying aliases from,
And no matter how I edit the oto, she refuses to sing and much rather likes to mumble

I'm unable to find an Alias list online that I can copy from,
since the ones that I find are the ones that I based my reclist on-

So, I'm confused as to how re-alias the voice bank, since every alias list I find, is the one I already used for the current voice bank,

You can generate aliases and base parameters by dragging and dropping the voicebank folder into moresampler.exe. http://utaforum.net/threads/moresampler-0-8-4-download.19264/
My friend did that with her oto edits of the same voice bank, and it deleted or 'emptied' some files entirely. (basically flatlining them)

Quick edit, 'rr' strings are a harsh japanese rolling r, in contrast to the usual 'r' strings, which are softer, more rounded japanese r
So I left those open intentionally, since they dont differ much from the originals.
(I know they tend to be English r s)

Other smaller strings that are left open, are left open due to me being unable to find aliases for them,
since, from my understanding, some are used for Engurishu.
[doublepost=1583895254,1583893341][/doublepost]ゐ this symbol is used for 'wi' in every chart I've seen so far, however I found a VCV bank, recorded in Romaji,
where they used the another symbol entirely. I can't copy it, because it just turns into gibberish symbols.

However, in Katanka, wi is ヰ, which doesn't look even remotely close to the character they use here:

https://imgur.com/mnGL2PH

Any idea what version of the Japanese alphabet this might be? At first I thought they put 2 different characters together,
which isn't uncommon, but since I can't copy it, I cant't check it online.
So, does that then mean that this bank also is aliased incorrectly?

Also, I can't copy Japanese characters online and paste them into the UTAU progam (ctrl +v command)
Any other way I can paste them in there?

Coming back to my last comment, after giving this new bank recorded in romaji a look, and reconsidering your comment,

they used ず but added ぃ, so, they aliased 'zi' as ずぃ -- is that correct?

Since I'm unable to find characters containing 'z' in Japanese.
Is there a reference for Japanese characters used to aide English pronunciation?
(I think that's what 'z' strings are used for at least, hehe..)

うぃ this is basically "u"(う) and a smaller "i"(い) which makes up the sound wi. I hardly see any voicebank that uses ゐ for wi. Also, it is not recommended to use katakana for the aliasing.

You can refer here for hiragana aliasing

I made sure to change my input method to Japanese before copying and pasting any Japanese symbols into UTAU. Maybe that might help?

Have you tried to install Japanese keyboard on your computer? There is a Hiragana keyboard that lets you type in Kunren-shiki romanization into Hiragana.

Kunren-shiki is different than typical Hepburn that is taught for foreigners and used in UTAU Oversea community. I’m saying this because I don’t want you to wonder why comes ち when typing “ti” instead of てぃ. (To get any small hiragana, just type “x” like “xi” to get a small ver of “i”).

Also this resource might be helpful, you can just copy-paste these: https://utaforum.net/resources/what-to-look-for-in-a-japanese-reclist-and-what-to-avoid.170/

Oh, that is indeed rather helpful. Thank you.

This also makes me wonder why some of the un-used strings are part of the reclist though ..
If they are never used, why are they included, hehe.

Edit: still cannot paste them into the UTAU program

So, essentially add a Japanese hiragana keyboard ?

's odd, haha. Never had an issue copying aliases from one bank to the other,
however copying an alias online is a no-go.
[doublepost=1583929330][/doublepost]

I'm asking a lot of questions, but I might as well get it out of the way all together:

The list you linked, or I think it was you, if not it was linked in this thread by a user

ai=あい or あぃ or 愛

they have romaji with multiple aliases, which are used, or do we duplicate said file 3x under a different alias?

Yes. For example, "wo" can be aliased with "を" or "うぉ".

Is anyone able to translate? It's a pop-up message that appears when generating freq. maps
I can click out of it, and generate the frequency map just fine, but it'd be nice if I knew what the message actually said.

OK, so I messed around with the OTO of the second VCV voice bank I had recorded,
it was sorta experimental, not recorded in strings as is tradition.

Finally got her to sing, did a few tests:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/62x935sjfj8pn1e/vcv_test_2.wav/file

Still have to revist the oto, to fix some consonants etc, but, gdi ...
After a month of digging in the dark, I finally got her to sing. *sigh of relief*
