Oh heeeyy XD. Hare i'm making a cover for Shiro once i get his ACT 2 done. It's going to be Kidzuite yo and i'm gonna call you out XD.
Anywaaays.
A gender flag i use for Hana is +9. She already has a sorta boyish sound already but in the same way it's not...which is really depressing to me sometimes when i sing OTL. but anyways...
If +9 doesnt work, try out at least +13. Anymore than that will sound weird and unnatural imo. I've never tried it with any other utaus i've downloaded..i've only been testing the ones i'm currently working on. It kinda helps me decide to continue the project, or screw it completely XD.
So yeah. Look forward to still shonen-like Shiro OTL.

I think unless I do have a huge amount of time, I'd rather just provide a voice for someone else and let them worry about the settings, otherwise I'd just throw it out too :/ But I've started on my plans for a multi-lingual Hare, now I'm just testing out stuff for appends. I have no idea really of what kind of appends to do yet though orz
Well, Shiro'd probably sing it back XD. The songs really tie together. Lol i'd actually draw him out. The picture isnt hard to do but i have to get started on his new bank OTL.

If you want a few ideas on kinds of appends, look to the more popular ones or ones you think sound good. I personally think the Dark and Sweet appends sound nice so i'm working on them now. After that, i'd maybe try the Power append too. It depends whaat you're more comfortable singing in though imo.

Yeah, I dunno, I just prefer it slightly more. I dunno, I thiiiink I recorded at around F4, so that's sort of middle-top of my vocal range x_x I used to be able to sing much higher... Last time I checked around the end of last year I could reach C3 to almost C6, but it keeps decreasing 'coz I don't practise singing or make covers that much anymore
Need to check it again...Tell Your World is without a flag, compared to Hirari Hirari which is g-4 and Time Forgotten One which is g-6 (but tbh, I don't think there is that much difference between the g-4 and -6 for Hare x_x )
I'm thinking a power append for the moment... I wasn't recording as strongly as I could have really :/ Maybe something like a happy and sad append etc because I think she could sound a bit more emotional. Lol one append at a time though.... >.<
XD Oh really? I don't use reference that often(though my art teacher said it's good to use it sometimes). XD I do that drawing thing too. Instead of commissioning other people, i just ask my friend to do it since she's a ton of a better artist than i am OTL. But otherwise, i draw everything out myself and leave it that way or just use the original video or something OTL.

Recording shonen and then g flagging is okay, coz you still have a good mix of the two and itâll sound good. I tried to do the opposite with a couple of voicebanks, and it didnât turn out that great XD Must be me, I still donât know half of UTAUâs workings /shot
In what way wouldnât they work? >.< Is it that they donât render? Or maybe the oto or frq. file is messed up? >.< The VB is still new and only about three or four, maybe five, other people have used it and they havenât told me of any issues. I have two copies of her voicebank to use in UTAU. The master copy, and then the one that is the downloadable one (because Windows or something lock the files on the original or make them read only so I canât edit them or see the individual files unless I access them through UTAU or something T.T), and for me on the downloadable one, the âiâ sound doesnât render, but I know it has for other people, so I really donât know
I could post a link for the sample and the .frq file again for you to replace the bad ones with? X_X But I really donât know why it isnât working OTL

Sorry for the late reply OTL I've just come out of full exam-mode X_X But now I'm free from college till September :'D
I did some testing with Hana inbetween but I started properly the day before yesterday, so I'll let you know my findings soon ^^
I use envelopes almost religiously when it comes to vowels. If the vowels start, sort of 'harshly', I guess? Then I always use envelopes and overlap to compensate to make it smoother, unless it starts a word or something. I guess most people do that? But it's like the first thing I make sure that I do >.< Especially with Hare, but I'm going to edit some of her samples so that the vowels flow smoother and stick them in a mini-update or append.
LOL I think any skills I have in otoing are non-existant. I have a slight idea of how to go about it, but I mainly go on trial and error on getting it sort of right, but I waste so much time :'(
A lot of tutorials I've read conflict a lot, but now I've got a lot of time till the next school year starts, my little sister decided to take advantage of it and demanded I make an UTAU voiced by her. So I'm using it as practise for Hare's future VB's tehehe...

It's been a few days...sorry for not answering. OTL My computer is practically dead with no hope of fixing as of now so all my utau projects are put on hold. I'm typing this secretly on my dad's computer ;w;. It should be fixed in....i dunno.

XD Otoing is pretty easy once you get used to it. I got help from someone after they reviewed Hana's Sweet Append bank. If you need help, then you can ask her...or me...i dunno XD whoever you'd prefer. Basically, what she told me to do is put the green line thing in the middle of the consonant sound and the red line goes right where the vowel sound starts. The red area needs to have the consonant sound and some of the vowel sounds and the blue areas cut off any silence in the beginning and the end. :D Yeaaaaah...at first when i oto'd, i put the red line first...and then put the green line all the way into the middle of the sample XD.
