UTAU Won't skip over missing samples, and repeats last sample?

Alright, so I decided to ask about this problem again. I've had this issue with UTAU for years, and no matter how many downloads I've had (even with the newer UTAU4) for years since approx. 2010, and no solution whatsoever

You know how if your UTAU is missing a sample in a UST UTAU will just skip over it and play nothing? For mine, if it is missing a sample in a UST, it will play the last note before it. This makes me have to go through the UST to make sure there aren't any samples my UTAUs are missing so they can sing it without sounding like there was a stutter.

Something happened before this though. I was rendering something I think, and something/someone got me distracted and I think I typed or backspaced something on that black box? I wasn't even sure how it opened, and I shouldn't have been able to type in it anyways...

Anyways, after I closed that and opened UTAU again, it wouldn't skip over missing samples.

Does anyone have a solution? I've tried to redownload UTAU several times, and just the same thing.

I wonder if anyone else has had this? Thanks for any help in advance :D

I used to have this problem, and i don't really remember how i fixed it :P but i do have a few things that you could try. First, you could try downloading a newer version of the resampler you use, because it might be corrupt or outdated. Second, you could go through the UST and replace any missing samples with 'R' so it would go over it without saying the last one again. If none of this helps, sorry in advance.

Hmm...I'll try DLing the resampler! I already do the second option haha
I think it happens with every resampler I have, but I'll still try anyways!

and it plays 'te' on the x where it's suppose to be silence. This occurred in one .ust (not the actual example but something with x), but when I opened The Earth's Final Confession .ust by nmsao I saw a 'dummy' note in there and it played it as silence like it was intended to O: I think it depends on the .ust then I guess???

Yeah exactly like that D: It does that for everything but I guess there's no helping it OTL Thanks for replying thing!

So thanks for all the help and ideas, and I've tried all of them and still nothing worked orz
But by some weird...good/bad event, my UTAU is now fine and doesn't repeat notes rather than skip anymore. It might've had something to do with my hard drive. I got a new one and now it's fine. Oh well!
