Ok so just right now, I was back home and checking my SoundCloud Stream's updates when suddenly, I've fallen on those samples (thanks to LauraMegurine as it's her who posted it on SC)

Yes, it is called CeVIO and as you can openly hear (obviously) it is a kind of VOICEROID-like studio... Except it is FREE.

I don't know yet if it's like UTAU, Cadencii and NiaoNIAO (aka where you can bring a fanmade/self-made VB within the program or if like Vocaloid and Voiceroid, you only have premade VBs) as I discover it only now, but seriously, feels like I'm gonna love this CeVIO <3

Seems pretty interesting and the voice is cute but I have absolutely no idea how to make it work ;; So far I've only managed to get her to say letters. xD

I can't seem to make the application start... it gives me a huge error message... and I did install the .net files as asked. Someone has any tips?

@FastSpeedy, I've asked CeVIO via twitter and they told me that ATM it doesn't work in non-Japanese OS. =u='

And just switching locale isn't good enough. I can get it to open, but it freezes when I try to put in anything but Romaji, which it reads out as individual letters.

Aww, darn. It's Windows only too. Oh well, I'll just sit and hope that I can play with it some day.

I can use it, but I can't get her talkoid portion to work. It just yells at me to use hiragana . . . when I'm using hiragana.

Yeah I can get her to sing(more or less cause gaaah how to tune and such) but talking it's just like "Yeah...no." xD It's all just...letters.

She can sing, you can't use your own custom voicebanks and she only reads Katakana.

The talkloid part only works ((I think)) if you set everything in your system ((Time, location e.t.c)) to Japan.

She does work with hiragana as well.
And the whole program (singing and talking) needs to run in a full Japanese system (such as Time, Location and System Language).

She didn't work with Hiragana for me- I've got my locale set to Japan and tried with the Japanese keyboard and copy and paste, she only read Katakana ._.

And the speaking comes out weird

(You just need to change this and your non-Unicode software configuration to Japanese. There's no need to reinstall Windows in Japanese.)

Is there a way to make the clock/region/location automated or maybe toggleable?

I think if I could switch between them that would be cool ;~; But thanks for the help, i'll be sure to test if that fixes my problems now :D
