What Name Format do you use?

What name format do you usually use when referring to UTAUloids (and Vocaloids)?

For example, do you usually say Teto Kasane, or Kasane Teto? Or maybe you just refer to her as Teto?

I've been wondering about this for awhile. Which one do you usually use and why?

I myself tend to use the LastName FirstName format, unless the UTAUloid has a Western Name, such as Lucy Blackwell.
Though I also just refer to them as their FirstName, too. Rarely do I use the FirstName LastName format for Japanese Names.

I pretty much do what you do. If it's Japanese or meant to be an Asian name (since all those countries follow that format if I'm not mistaken), I do Last First. If it's clearly English, like Halt Tanner or Iris Libra, then I leave them in English format. My friend Cola has this weird thing where she writes her UTAU's name (Minarai Mona) in Japanese order when singing Japanese but in English order when singing English - that's her thing, I wouldn't do that because they're still named in Japanese (or English if opposite).

But when I refer to an UTAU I almost always use their full name, unless it's in a group of people who know the UTAU well enough by first name alone or it's a VIPPERloid where it's well known by everyone. I will always write Megane Gako and Shuga Kanoko and such.

Typically I just refer to UTAU by their given name alone, but when I do use full names I tend to put them in Western order. It's not a set rule, though; for me it depends a lot on sound. I don't like the sound of "Tei Sukone," so I always say "Sukone Tei" (or call her Scottie, although that's only when I talk to myself). A lot of names sound okay to me either way, so I do a lot of flip flopping. ^-^;

The weird thing is that when it comes to Vocaloid, I lean towards Japanese order. It still comes down to sound for me though. "Yukari Yuzuki" sounds wrong to me, so I use Japanese order for her name, but "Miku Hatsune," "Luka Megurine," and "Yuki Kaai" (come to think of it I always use Western order with Yuki) sound fine to me.

I usually use whatever name format the country of origin prefers.

IE for Western UTAU I will typically use the given name and for Eastern UTAU the surname.

As for order when using both, I would cater that toward my audience I am speaking to.

I used to always use the last name first format, but I'm beginning to use the western format more and more. I feel like sometimes when I talk about UTAUs with Japanese names that people will get confused on which one is their given name. Although I've made that mistake a few times with confusing the first and last name of UTAUs.

I tend to use the last name-given name format if the name is Japanese, and given name-last name format if it's in English. I'm more comfortable with it~
I tend to use the first name only for some select UTAUs (like Mimi, Iris, Hachi, etc.)

I unno...I usually just call them by their first names : ' D I think the only 'loids I call by their full names on a regular basis are Miku and Luka. In that case, I'd probably see the arrangement I've seen more often (ex. Yorune Ruko). I personally barely even think about it.

HATSUNE CV01 MIKU, LUKA CV03 MEGURINE!....see you know they're in trouble cause I used their full names : P

I always tend to use it in the Western way, no matter the origin (after there are a few exceptions like Mine Laru)

And except when there are homonymous, I often use the given name

So yeah, even if it's wrong, I can't help to name them this way...

Honestly, I don't really have a set way of doing it, but I would say I lean towards however their name is "officially" presented.
