Does anyone know a good microphone I can use to record utauloids with and maybe post a sample of the quality of the mic without editing

Many utau users stand by snow ball mics and yeti (I don't use them, so I have no opinion on them). The best thing to look for is a condenser mic that won't pic up more than what's recording in front of it. Either way, no matter the mic type, how expensive it is, etc. you're gonna have to edit and noise remove - no getting around it. Even the most expensive mic you'll be able to afford will pick up white noise from the room you record in, laptop/computer fan, etc.

USB microphones (like the recomended snow ball) are better than normal jack-in.
Condenser mics are better than dynamics for vocal range (dynamics are better for loud concerts on the outside).

The problem is that condenser USB microphones are kind of expensive.
Let me suggest you to try the cheap mic you probably have in your house and make experimentation with it (no need to release anything in this stage). After you're more experienced then you could purchase that good equipment with confidence.

Also take a look at "pop shield/screen" that you're on it. It's a good complement for a good microphone.

My fiance has this mic
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004QJREXM/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and I use it a lot, it's really nice, crisp, clear. I don't have any samples of me using it, but i'm sure you could find some on youtube or something.

i use a blue snowball but the blue snowball ice is perfect (only has 1 voice setting but its ok its really good quality)

; x; i recommend using http://camelcamelcamel.com/ to track prices and buy it when its cheapest (i didnt spend but 35-40ish for the snowball )

Samples; First is Snowball then Snowball ICE :'D(my bank in the cover of systematic love was not edited)

however its not just about your mic but your environment as well !(very important to have a decent recording area.)

ohh just reread your ; o; post I'll edit this and add a raw sample later on !!(? if that would help ^^)

I use the Yeti and it works really well with utau (you just need to be in a really good area)
This is it raw:

You can hear my computer fan pff. That's because I accidentally turned the gain up too high. On lower settings, it captures only your voice.

In utau(I forgot to set the breath to 0 here so it sounds more...grainy than it normally does):

It's a bit expensive(got mine at around $100) so yeah--you might want to start with something cheaper. But if you really don't feel like upgrading twice, then I recommend it.

the snow ball is pretty great...make sure it is set to "1" (it has a switch at the back)

with a quick noise remove in audacity you are golden...I don't recommend the "ICE" due to its price-to-performance ratio...

I used a cheap wal-mart logitec headset at one point and that was pretty okay...it lacked a bit of treble but was decently clear...

HOWEVER- I have found the Audio technica 2100 and 2500 are even better sounding than the snowball for about the same price-
and if you can afford one- an atr2020 would be the best thing an utau user would probably ever need.

I suggest the 2500...it has full sound and is very clean too-
listen to this if you want to hear a comparison~
