Nope. UTAU doesn't have viruses nor do voicebanks.

You likely either had a poor anti-virus or downloaded other things, perhaps pop-ups from Mediafire and other websites may have given you some malware.

Though a computer dying can be from hardware failures also. Have you gotten it checked out at a shop? Unless you've gotten endless bluescreens/blackscreens before it's death (like a virus-infested computer my brother had from reckless minecraft downloading), I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it's a virus. I had a computer "die" because a small little capsule that helped handle the video card or something burst and even something that tiny ruined it all.

UTAU downloaded from http://utau2008.xrea.jp/ is safe. That is the official page.

The redistribution of the UTAU software is forbidden so any unofficial place where you could get the program is a potential malicious source.

Voicebanks (as any other file in the internet uploaded by an anonimous user) can be harmful. Anybody with ill intent could add a troyan to a fake voicebank. It's recommendable to always scan the files you download with a trusty antivirus.
Of course, this setup is very unlikely. I haven't found yet a voicebank with this kind of issue.
And as soon as this would happen I'm sure that malicious user will get blacklisted from the UTAU community.

Nope.

If you downloaded from what irei1as said, yeah, I just found several crashes, but so far UTAU program had no virus. But voicebanks, now, I download voicebanks just when I need it, so I don't know if there are voicebanks with virus.

My dad has worked at Microsoft for over 10 years, and he always checks the programs I want to download to my laptop thoroughly before letting me download them. I have had UTAU for over 2 years and I have not had any problems with viruses.

And I second Shinami on the possibility of getting a virus from sites such as Mediafire. Mediafire is loaded with popups if you don't have a popup blocker of some sort.

I'm sorry about your laptop, though. I'm glad you seem to have gotten it fixed.
Good luck!
