This bothers me a little bit

I've been working on this one ust for a long time and I'm almost done with it, but there's a liiiittle bitty thing that bothers me. I'm using Matsudappoiyo Retake Edge VCV and at this one point where he says "sou darou" his "sou" sounds a little like robotic or metallic? (links to the sample) I tried different combinations of notes and none of them worked, and I was going to try flags but I literally have no idea what I'm doing here. Right now in the sample I have it as below:

Like ok, you can barely hear it and it might be ok if I just leave it like that and post it but if I can fix it I'd like to and it will make me feel better yknow?

Its cuz of the jump in pitch, you need portmanteu to allow the note to slide up instead of jumping up.

Just adding on to what Oteto said, just in case you don't know, just select all of the notes, right click, select pitch and make sure the box labelled "portmanteau" has a tick in it :3 (it might be spelled like that but you'll know what I mean)

....Though, I'm sorry if you already knew this ^^'

Oh wait, hurr durr I made a mistake OTL I use portmanteau already, actually! I have it like this right now:

I had it as "-so" "-o" previously because when I have it as above ("-so" "o o") it sounds like this (link to sample) and THAT'S the metallic robotic noise I mentioned before! Then when I have it as above there's a weird space and I can't seem to win here. u__u

Ok I've done this instead. I've seen other people do it and it seems to sound okay, but it's not like the song I'm covering. I guess I'll just have to deal if it won't work the other way. :v

Like is that an ok thing to do? Make a giant freaking pitchbend on a note like that? The song is more like how I had it before, but this could suffice. I'd really like to figure out how to fix that noise though.

Yeah I do those pitchbends all the time. You just gotta understand where and how.

Don't mean to intrude but from the sample it actually sounds like the oto of the "o o" sample should be adjusted...

Sometimes generators aren't perfect and accidentally land on a different part of the string, so I'm thinking that's what happened...

No that's fine! As a matter of fact, when I put "so" there by itself as I have above, but instead put a portmanteau sloping upwards as in the second picture, it sounded the same way as "-so" "o o" does in the sample. Not entirely sure what it is or what it means. Also, if it were the oto that needed fixing I wouldn't be too sure how to do that. >w>;;

Still looks too sharp to me, I think thats whats causing it...make it a slower slide and see what happens. See in above pic there is still a severe jump which will cause an autotuny/metallic effect..... maybe.

You know, based on how the sounds look, go to the top right hand corner, select your notes, hit acpt, p2p3 then acpt again- they don't look like they're blending at all and that could be the problem :/

JUST WANNA SAY I FIXED IT NOW!~
Here's a pic of what I did, it still sounds close to the original as well! (link to sample)

I found that the problem with the metallic noise was when it went from the lower note to the higher note, but also if the notes didn't have a rest between them? Like it sounded fine when I put "-so" "-o" together with no rest but then I put "-so" "o o" and the noise happened. Then I added the rest and it still happened on the "o o" note so I removed that and ta-da~ It was a really weird problem and I don't know what caused it, we may never know...

Anyway, do you guys think it sounds alright? ;w;

Ahh thank you so much! ;w; I've worked hard on this for too long and I'm excited to finish it!...

However the instrumental is nowhere to be found!! OTL And I have no idea what to dooo... it exists, but I can't find a download of it. I've also tried removing the vocals myself in Audacity but it didn't sound right. Gahh I have no patience anymore /sobs
