WOO. Little sister likes it!! That's really awesome, honestly. 8D

1. This is the Schwa. And I'm just gonna link you to the Wiki page. XD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwa
But long story short, it's literally everywhere. It could be anywhere. And it's amazing.
If you listen to the song one more time, I did the line "When can we do this again" in two different ways near the end. The first time she's not using a Schwa for the word "again" (su) and the second time she is using a Schwa for the word "again". (sx) It's hard to explain, but easy to hear the difference!

2. The CCs and V Cs aren't anything new, I've just finally got everything working together in harmony. haha
I'm still testing a lot of the CCs, but they just... do what it looks like they're doing.
And the V Cs just work like they do in JP CVVC. Basically forming VCV.

You probably are! I think a lot of people are and have been. :3
Much too say so...
1.My family listened to your VCCV test and to summarize what they said was, "yes I know what it is but that's not the original singer."
2. Question, I notice you have VCCs but do you still have VCs as you'd find them in a CVVC english bank?

Super pumped about English VCCV! I can't wait to test it out for myself when you release the reclist. For now, I'll keep experimenting with CVVC and Fake VCV.

this is amazing. I'm glad I neglected to record one of your lists till recent o3o

you say it's fundamentally different. In use, would one simply be able to treat it similar to CVVC with a few additions/variations? or is it drastically different?
Just wondering, I like using other's voicebanks, rather than creating them myself.

Well, the list is set up differently, it's recorded differently, the oto is very different, and the USTing is set up a bit differently. But it's still English so, it's similar!
And I think it's easier to use. There are more things going on, but there needed to be, because it's English!
I am making tutorials on how to use these banks. Don't worry. :3

Much too say so...

I have updated my first post with the newest LITE demo!

If you didn't already see in my Retrospective, I'm planing to release this list with many options. CORE, LITE, FULL, and EXTRA (This will make USTing a bit strange, since not all banks will have all the same sounds, BUT WHELP. I don't think it will be that big of a deal. English is massive. And not everyone wants to record a million samples if the quality of the bank is only going to go up a small amount.)

So that being said, the CORE list is about 950 samples and 2100 lines of oto. (Takes 3 to 4 hours to record if you work relatively fast) This is the base of the bank. Everyone will record these unless they want to change up the vowels to record more or less. (This list is designed to be very editable.)
I'm still working out the LITE and FULL. These are the CCV and VCC recordings. The FULL list ends up being about 400 CCVs and 600 VCCs. I'm still experimenting with the best way to cover all these in the LITE list and still have decent quality to the bank. (Onen's Test used about 140 samples)
And well, the EXTRA is mostly various VCV, VCCV and CC things. And extra vowels and consonants and what not. I'm not focusing on these for the release, but will release more later as I test more.

This list is designed to be used with OREMO and BGM. (Of course you don't have to, but I HIGHLY recommend using it.)
And will come with a complete base oto. If you record as I've designed it to be recorded, the base oto will be nearly spot on. (Off only because of human error, audio latency not being handled correctly, and slightly different consonant lengths.)
I am also going to include tools and tips for creating your own, or editing the base oto if you decide to record differently. (I use Notepad++ and Setparam)

If this sounds a bit complicated right now, it's not!! Trust me. It's a lot easier than what I released in 2011. :3

Sounds AMAZING, I'm really loving the setup already. Easy recording and OTO'ing is one of my favorite things about good reclists...

Oh, I see that I missed that topic.

I see that we are both experimenting about the same thing ^^ However, I have to say that you obtained way better results that I have as for now~ I wonder how your reclist works, though, and how it looks like (I’m curious about the differences in our research ^^ )

I’m looking forward for more~

Well this is going to be well worth the wait! What's funny is that i recently was thinking,"Gosh, there must be an easier way to make an english bank"

That is really amazing! It's not only understandable, but the pronunciation in the vowels is so great! It's one of those little things that just...ahhh!

Lots of recording and otoing! I should make gross jokes about someone trying to do a multipitch VB with this haha!

Kind of??? Some of the alias have changed, and I've added more consonants and vowels. and there's a whole second set of CVs and VCs. It will "work", but it wont work as intended.

any Idea as to about when the reclist will be released??
The list will be released along side Cz's newest VB and a bunch of tutorials for how to record and use the list. I am still aiming for January, but it's looking more like near the end of January.
I set my sights a bit high, and I want to test some multipitch ideas first. ^^;

Sorry for all my late replies everyone!! I'm doing like 80 million things right now... haha. xD

Well I think it'll be worth the wait! Meanwhile I could try to make Victor a VCV bank and maybe make a completely new UTAU... That and appends... I don't have any appends XD

But yeah, I speak english so obviously it only makes sense to make an english bank... I was gonna make a CVVC then I found this... then I heard Onen lite and I was like holy crap I'm just gonna wait XD

(Side note ENG=English and JPN=Japanese)

First off, you don't have to be sorry about the late replies, as long as you do, I'm good.
Second, good luck on the multipitch idea.
Third, I'm totally doing a CVVC ENG+JPN bank and then an ENG+JPN VCCV bank. Though now I'm curios how a VCCV JPN bank would work.

Anyway I don't mind the late Jan. date, as long as it's before March 2015, I'm good.

I record on school breaks. Since during winter break I'm planing to recording their CVVC banks, the next time I'll be able to record will be spring break, which is usually in March.
