How does one make a VoiceSynth program?

I was curious, cause I'm going to see if my cousin would be interested in creating something like this (right now he's halfway done in college for all the computer tech stuff and programming).

I'm really curious because I personally think it would be cool to do. I haven't seen anything on the internet so far on how to even make a basic one, so I thought maybe someone here would know?

Right now I'm experimenting with UTAU and looking at it's limits on various voca/edit stuff (ie. how much you can edit the original voice and the out come it will have in UTAU).

I think it would take a LONG time to do it but there are ways obviously. I think you need to see what UTAU and VOCALOID have in common in their coding. If you don't have VOCALOID save up DO NOT Polkaloid IT! I am just capitalizing that so you know that it comes with a cost which is being in serious trouble.

ok, I don't even know what a Polkaloid is, but I wouldn't want to cause any trouble, so I won't do that.

it's not Polkaloid it shows up as that for some reason. I meant poc a loid[DOUBLEPOST=1414282617][/DOUBLEPOST]you put poc a loid together and get one word

It's possible. You just have to understand how they work and you're pretty much set to make one with enough effort. Saying to buy a vocaloid isn't really the best idea as it's probably hard to understand without cracking it anyway, and you're better off studying UTAU and Cadencii imo.
