Except their ears and tails got removed from the official art, going by what Aki said on VO. (Bless her, she spent like half a page if not more trying to soothe ruffled feathers)

Daw, it's really sad ='( I don't see why people were so mad at them as fox and wolf (btw wolf-eared is ôkamimimi, not umamimi, umamimi would be horse-eared) are breaking the cat-inspired or actual cat pattern... It's like Avanna's elf ears, except this time it comes from fandom.... Plus it's not like if it was full furry or creepy furry, that was just -mimi charatcers, like what half of them usually love but m'well )

Plus apparently they found a way to bring it back even if official goes slightly different ? Like, how Avanna turns into her elf and thus, can have her elf ears
