Suggest graphic tablets?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. I've been thinking about getting a graphics tablet, I don't plan on doing anything professional so preferably something which isn't too expensive. If you know, or have experience with one it'd be appreciated if you suggest it. Thanks!

I personally use a wacom bamboo pad (since I'm not much of an artist, and small=better for osu)
I've heard good things about monoprice and huion though.

Avoid brands like Genius, Waltop, and certain yiynova products.
Huion's 610 and 1060 are really good imo.

Avoid the lower end monoprice tablets unless you want driver pains, the more expensive ones are rebadged huions.

Wacom is a quality product, but you end up paying a premium for the brand name and the support they provide (which has not been stellar in my experience, though others may say otherwise). I have an old Wacom Bamboo Create and a Huion 610pro and have liked both quite well for what little I use a graphic tablet for. I'd err toward the Huion for the value, though I will say I've had aggravations with it and my default windows drivers getting in the way, but those can be worked around.

Besides, Wacom doesn't sell the Bamboo I use anymore, so.

I have a Wacom Intuos Pro (5?) and there seems to be a percentage of people complaining about cable problems (I have this problem and my cable doesn't work any more so I'm relying on the wireless adapter and using an external battery charger); I also have more interval driver drop outs with this tablet than I had with the older wacom series like the 2010 bamboo pen and touch; that tablet lasted me 4 years. I agree with Cdra that wacoms support isn't very good as well.

I will be going for either a Ugee or Huion as my next tablet or downgrading to wacom intuos3/2010 bamboo if I can find one on the internet somewhere. I'd just avoid the more new pricey wacoms because if they break - they break your heart & bank as well -cries-

((Psst, if you need help with your Huion or other brand tablet then feel free to message me. I used to be/am one of the peeps on dA that has a Q/A and stuff for people who have issues.))

Also the rechargeable Huion Pen is really nice and the battery one is really good too if you need the weight si consider getting that one if one or the other is too light/heavy.

edit one month later: Huion, they are actually a really big player in alternate tablet brands. Their drivers are good and everything. and they've been known to custom make drivers earlier on.

i've had multiple wacom tablets, bamboo and intuos... they aren't bad tablets, but i also had cable issues and the amount of times per night the driver drops is terrible lol. my friend also had problems with intuos pens breaking. i've never talked to their support but i believe it's not great.

also who thought it was a good idea to make the usb cord spot for (at least regular intuos models) imbedded in the tablet. like it's in its own little cave thing so almost every other cable you try doesn't physically fit, besides the sideways type it comes with.

I got a wacom a few years ago and when I unboxed it it was defective and didn't work
I contacted customer support, they agreed it was broken and blamed it on the store, and that was that
I've held a grudge against tablets ever since because they're hella expensive and I never got my money back lol
I know it's not v helpful but I've only had bad experiences with them and get by fine with the mouse, anyhow, so I'd recommend avoiding Wacom at least in general.

Whup. I got the intuos art, my bad. Nothing wrong with it, no problems with it. I either got lucky or overlooking things haha.
